Uma Sushi

Got a salmon bowl, chef is accommodating to allergies. A little pricey but worth it if you want some fresh fish Dietary restrictions: Ask the chef for accommodations.

Nana provided exceptional service and the food was excellent! Sashimi was extremely fresh and the Omakaze set was great value as well. Definitely will come back again.

I have tried Uma Sushi during one of their private catering dinner event in West Van. I cannot really gauge the atmosphere since I have not been to their physical restaurant. The owner/chef was young, vibrant, and friendly which was good. The food was fresh, flavorful, and had very good presentation. Wasabi they used was gritty, which is good since its fresh.

What a find!! Nestled amongst a thick patch of non-descript West Broadway concrete buildings with a heavy scent of Japanese curry thick on the air, is this true gem of a Japanese restaurant! I could tell from the clientele and the staff running the joint that I was in for a treat. The service was very warm and friendly and hospitable, and the dishes were very flavourful, colorful, and unique. Take for example the sushi donut! You got to try it for yourself.
