Tropicana Bakery & Cuban Cafe

This places a joke. I've been to Cuban bakeries, and this is not close to being good. Everything was bad. The area, the staff, and the bakery/ food.

I visited Tropicana on a Monday afternoon. The bakery section is where I was headed and was pleased to see no line and only one table occupied, but by teens drawing and not eating. The parking lot was full and difficult to navigate, so I had anticipated more people. Upon entering, I hear the music quite loud and not conducive to talking to staff. It didn't matter, though, because the staff made my wife wait for a cake order while I grabbed some sweet breads and got in line. I was helped quickly at the counter to have my order bagged, I wasn't pleased to see my beautiful pastries placed on top of each other in the small bag, have a paper placed under it and then the lady walked away, placing my bag in line to be ring up by their only cashier. While I waited, several other staff helped other people exiting the restaurant or entering the bakery and ordering a few bakery items, and they were checked out right away by other bustling staff. I didn't see a method to this and right when I was ready to say something to the cashier, she was replaced with another cashier, who decided to inform me, if course, that she just got there and didnt know anything. Needless to say, I left after 15 minutes of this chaos and loud music, no cake, and no sweet bread. Sorry Tropicana, you need to work on your customer service and organization skills.

It's been quite a while... cuban sándwich, croquetas de jamón, croqueta preparada, papa preparada... nothing will ever beat those.
