An all-time staff, and hopefully customer favorite, Czech Dark Lager finally returns, and in 12oz 6-packs for at home enjoyment. This iteration received the full-on double decoction method, to coax rich, toasty malt character while maintaining a pleasingly dry finish.
Slowly fermented, and naturally carbonated by capturing as much residual co2 as possible, we notice impressions of slight cappuccino roast, lightly toasted wheat-like bread crust, and a delicate background dark cocoa finish for what easily could be the ultimate autumn into winter beer. 5.2% abv, 6pk 12oz cans $13.

First Snow IPA
While technically it did snow that one time, First Snow technically becomes more like a 2nd Snow with its last return for the season. A certain West Coast beer that releases annually around this time of year, has always had an incredibly special and profound grip on the entire production team. Our shared appreciation for what might be the oldest continually brewed American IPA damn near boils over, as it were, during these cooler weather months.
Our homage to that beer marks some incredibly rare occurrences for Triple Crossing, to include an honest and contributing amount of UK Crystal malt. We also felt compelled to use whole cone current crop year Cascade in the whirpool, just like the real thing.
We notice impressions of fresh cut Christmas tree, grapefruit rind, orange citrus oil, and clean soft caramel reinforced with a softer level of PNW varietal derived hop bitterness.

Sundrop
Introducing the newest addition to our Virginia Flower Saison series, Sundrop.
One is a saison, with its grist comprised of Ephiphany pils, spelt, and triticale was brewed in March of 2020. The second, was a coolship lager brewed in December 2022 with Weyermann pils and rye.
We specifically chose the coolship lager due to their extremely low acidity and their light pastoral rind character, bringing balance to the entire blend. We transferred the blend into stainless steel and then dry hopped it with Centennial for three months. Centennial is a hop we’ve selected for years and utilize often in our IPAs where we notice lots of grapefruit, sweet candy, fruity pebbles and a touch of fresh grass.
In Sundrop we get impressions of tart pineapple, dill flower, cheese funk, cedar, dark plum, cantaloupe rind, and lemon juice. The beer finishes with an herbal sage, black pepper, medium-low acidity and a slight salinity. 4.5% ABV

The Gardens: Basil
The Gardens, a brand-new series focusing on herbs and botanicals makes its debut today by way of Basil. This blend is made up of two different mixed culture beers, one with pilsner malt, rye and wheat, and the second with pilsner malt and buckwheat. The former began its primary fermentation in our coolship, eventually being transferred into red wine barrels for several months. The latter spent its entire fermentation in red wine barrels with our house culture until both were ready for blending.
We get impressions of thyme, white pepper, cinnamon, nectarine, watermelon rind, and sweet mint that finishes with our hallmark lower levels of acidity, and softer mouthfeel.

The Gardens: Lavendula
It's been a bit over a year since we last released Lavandula.
This blend was brewed in 2022 and was immediately transferred into red wine barrels with our house culture.
Once these barrels were selected for blending, we transferred them into stainless on top of a few ounces of lavender harvested from our own gardens. The lavender was harvested late in its life, already mostly dry and aromatic. It took around 3 months for the lavender’s delicate character to show up in the finished bottle conditioned blend.
We chose to release this beer in time for Thanksgiving what with its golden orange color, bright notes of lavender, cinnamon, sage, thyme, pickled watermelon rind, dill, and lemon drop candy. The acidity is decidedly on the lower end, but still enough to cut through a decadent meal. Lavandula finishes with a slight salinity and a kiss of tannins from the red wine barrels. 6% ABV $15.00 per 750ml bottle.
