One of the best Italian restaurants in Los Angeles
So delicious. I sat at the bar and the service was great.
I tried this restaurant before and food was really good, with same assumption came back for lunch but the quality was not the same . Any pasta that we ordered was not tasty, pizza was not bad but didn’t finish any of our ordered pasta.
Told to the manager, he was nice but not able to change quality of the food.
He promised to share it with owner.
The Most Delicious Food and Desserts combined with the Best Service!
Nice Italian-style cuisine restaurant in the "artificial" downtown of Glendale. The pasta dishes were good, and so was the service. It's a bit noisy inside since a part of the restaurant is long and narrow. Voices echo off the walls easily.
Everything was excellent . Will definitely come again
The service was bad, the food had no flavor and the quality was mediocre at best.
Portions are small. We spent $230 on average food.
How this "Italian" place stays open is beyond me. Cheesecake Factory has better shrimp scampi.
Just do yourself a favor and look at all the pictures that these 4 and 5 star reviews post and ask yourself do I want to eat that? Everything looks like Chucky Cheese Food. 😂
Never again!
I recently dined at Amici Trattoria in Glendale, part of a small chain of Italian restaurants. For my first order, I tried the Fiori di Zucchi with ricotta. The fried zucchini flowers were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the ricotta's consistency. However, I found the sauce to be a bit too spicy for my taste.
For the second dish, I had the insalata calamari. This was perfectly done. The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful, complementing the fried calamari beautifully. The sauce was just right and the calamari was fried to perfection.
For the third course, I got Rigatoni and Guanciale, which was disappointing. The pasta was cooked well, al dente, and the sauce was good too, but the guanciale was cut into pieces that were too big, making it difficult to enjoy the dish.
Regarding the drinks, they were great. The first drink I got was an Aperol Spritz, which was perfectly done, just like the ones I used to drink in Italy while traveling there. The second drink was a Negroni, and again, it was well done with no concerns. The timing was perfect for both the dishes and the drinks.
Overall, Amici Trattoria offers some delightful dishes with fresh ingredients and excellent frying techniques, but the Rigatoni and Guanciale fell short due to the oversized guanciale pieces. I would recommend trying their calamari salad if you visit.
