I'm a regular at this particular location and I always order the naan tacos almost every Tuesday. I had been away for the last month and tonight I came by to order my usual. I spoke to the gentleman on the phone, who knows me by name and he took my order and even remembered my name as he always does. I ordered two non-taco specials, one for my mother and one for myself. Mine was spicy and hers was not due to her intolerance to spice. I came into pickup my order after 10 or 15 mins, which to my surprise wasn't even started despite the call ahead. There was another man there, someone I wasn't familiar with who started making my order after I told him I had already ordered. After an additional 10 minute wait, I was given my food while the gentleman that I normally deal with walked in the door. I left with my food and took it home. Upon opening up my food, I seen that they had changed the packaging paper boxes similar to that of Philthy Philly's, which do not keep the food warm. The food itself had great flavor which is never an issue. However, there was noticeably less chicken and overall toppings where normally the bread is overflowing with toppings and sauce. This time the bread was half full with as I mentioned very little toppings and very little chicken. Seeing that this was an issue with the restaurant and that I directly dealt with the restaurant, after some time contemplating I decided I'd give the owner a call and let him know of my experience to which I was very taken back by the way the man on the phone reacted and he very nonchalantly said "yeah whatever" after I had mentioned that I just recently picked my order and my name was Austin. Usually once I mention my name the owner remembers me and he greets me. But this time I received a "whatever" response. I even told the man to repeat himself because I thought maybe I misheard what he had said. This person then continued to explain that the reason why the bread was half full and the presentation wasn't there and the quality wasn't there was all because of a change in packaging. They claimed that nothing else changed and that was it. I promptly ended the call and told him thank you but I have no interest in dealing with a business that doesn't care about its customers. This kind of experience was uncalled for and quite frankly disheartening considering how many times I've visited this establishment in the past.
Got the crunchy chicken burger with masala fries and Ras Malai shake. The burger was so flavorful and cooked to perfection but the star of the meal was the masala fries. They had a good heat and the sauce drizzled on was so good... definitely want to go back and get those fries again fresh next time!
