Excellent service and food. Dessert options also wonderful. Well worth a visit here. We would return. Vegetarian options: Get the menu and order as you please. Dietary restrictions: Review the menu and order according to your liking. Parking: Parking behind the building and plenty available. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible both in the parking lot and in the restaurant.
Outside bar... horrible smell. Staff was great, would never sit at the outside bar. Not what I expected at Tommy Bahama.
Great atmosphere. Feels like I'm on vacation.
From reading the reviews, it sounds like people have a good experience eating in the restaurant downstairs. However, my husband and I popped in for happy hour last Tuesday and were directed upstairs to the bar. It was the most bizarre experience. We sat right at the bar and the bartender clearly did not want to be there. Seemed like he didn't want us there, either. I asked for a list of what was on tap. He pointed to the end of the bar and said, "We have those one and those ones," pointing to the other end of the bar. I had to get up and go to either end of the bar to see what was on offer. We asked for a taste of one of the ipas as we had never had it before, and he seemed put out about that. He never asked if we wanted another drink, or how our appetizers were. We had the ahi tuna wonton tacos. They were tasty. The staff just seemed liked they didn't want to be there, and didn't get along, or something. Just a really weird vibe. We couldn't wait to get out of there and go somewhere where the staff is happy to be there, welcomes their guests, and do their jobs well. We didn't leave a tip, and we rarely, rarely don't leave a tip. The guy just didn't deserve one. Too bad, because I was really looking forward to trying Tommy's. Would never to back, as there are so many great options in the area.
Love coming to this restaurant in Kierland. The first floor outside bar is fun to meet people and enjoy a cocktail. The drinks and food are delicious.
Great place, nice environment and excellent dinner
Food was good...scallop sliders were amazing! Crab cakes not so much. Slaw was surprisingly one of the favorites. Pineapple coconut cake is huge and delicious. Coconut shrimp were good but a little too sweet. Great cocktails.
Stepping into Tommy Bahamas in Scottsdale is like finding an oasis in the desert. It’s a place where the island life is not just a state of mind but a culinary experience that will transport you straight to the tropics. Ambiance and Service: The restaurant, intriguingly paired with a clothing store, might raise eyebrows, but it’s a combination that Tommy’s has turned into an art form. The vibe is laid-back luxury, and the service? Impeccable. It’s clear from the get-go that this isn’t your average retail-restaurant duo. Cocktails: The cocktail menu is a masterpiece of mixology, featuring well-designed drinks that are both a feast for the eyes and a party for the palate. The Mai Tai, a nod to the classic Don the Beachcomber’s concoction, strikes the perfect balance between sweet and strong. Whether on the rocks or frozen, it’s the kind of drink that makes you want to kick back and savor the sunset. Cuisine: Now, let’s talk about the food. The fish tacos are nothing short of legendary, boasting a tropical slaw that’s a riot of flavors and freshness. And the coconut shrimp? They’re a contender for the world’s best, with just the right amount of crispiness without being greasy. The chowder and tropical salad are a symphony of tastes that harmonize beautifully with the rest of the meal. And for the grand finale, the key lime pie is a slice of heaven that’s the perfect punctuation to a delightful dining experience. Final Thoughts: Tommy Bahamas may share its space with fashion, but it’s the flavors that steal the show. It’s a culinary getaway that promises and delivers a high-quality meal complete with a side of island charm. For anyone looking for a taste of paradise in Scottsdale, Tommy’s is a destination that should be on your map. Highly recommended for a tropical escape!
