Shrimp and Grits are good. 1 son liked the fried haddock but my other son did not. Said it was too much breading. Good portion given for a side of mac-n-cheese.

Real oven roasted turkey is delicious. Real homemade mashed potatoes. Very attentive staff.

I had breakfast of eggs,grits and country ham. Large portions which was hot when brought to table. Delicious.

Chicken and dumplings are really good! So is the chicken cheese steak, but be careful adding items to it. It will definitely cost you$$$

The last time time I went to TJ's Family restaurant I went to the drive-thru I pre-ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich because they used to have lots of meat and cheese and onions and peppers the sandwich was delicious but the last time I was there that wasn't the case they had half to me just a little bit of onions not many peppers I was disappointed TJ's could have had a bad night I understand that happens sometimes but I will give them another chance.

If you are on a tight budget, need to feed a large family, a group of people, or just want some good ole fashioned country style cookin', then TJ's is the place to go. Portion size to price comparison is unbelievable! No one told me that one order of any dish is enough to feed 3 people at an A-MA-ZING price! So, not knowing, I ordered the Julienne Salad with grilled Salmon, Fried Perch and Shrimp Combo with Fried Squash and Cole Slaw sides. My friend ordered Fried Flounder and Shrimp Combo with Fried Okra and Cole Slaw sides! Y'all when the order came out we needed two tables to put everything on! I'm not kidding! Every oversized plate or bowl had overstuffed food on it! After eating that very large delicious salad I was done! That took me literally 1/2 an hour to devulge! Needless to say all of the rest of the food went home with me! I was totally caught off guard for all of the great tasting food, the friendly service, and the value to cost. It was an excellent dining experience! This was my first time there but you can be sure it will not be my last!
