It started off horrible. We waited 15 min to be seated mind u they were busy when we got there. However none greated us while we waited. Not a single hello, we'll be with you in a moment nothing. Finally the manager say are we ready to be seated? I said yes" we are we've been standing here for 15min not a single person has acknowledged us. But yes we are ready" Instead of apologizing for himself and his staff he decided to ask me are we going to have a problem? Like are you for real your going too as me that? All a customer wants is to be acknowledged. If he treats his customers this way how does he treat the staff. You shouldn't be working as a manger let alone customer service. You cleary need proper training in both departments. However the food great and our server was top notch. Norris you were amazing thank you for making our night with your excellent customer service and going above and beyond for myself and family. People with your skill is hard to come across in the restaurant industry. You are on point with everything, from being just a super happy person and going above and beyond for your guests I will absolutely remember you and wouldn't have any other way. Keep up the awesome work and keep being you because you're great!!! 10plus 's for Norris and -0 '' for management and the rest of his team. Management and or who ever owns this location should asshamed of who u have running your bussiness. The staff are the way the are because of how your manager is MONKEY SEE MONKEY DO!

** I've amended this review and added an extra start as the manager reached out to me and offered a more equitable compensation for the undercooked burger. The big issue is one of our burgers was undercooked to the point of being dangerous by Canadian health guide food cooking standards. As such they gave us 50% off on the one meal. Seemed odd to me that we had to pay for a meal my kid couldn’t safely eat… Please see the bright pink burger in the attached pictures. I was debating going for 2 or 3 stars, but given the offending burger was for my 5 year-old child, I felt 2 was appropriate. We were comped an order of doughnuts which were hot and looked very good, but we were all too full to eat any…so we brought them home. Let it be known, the service was very good and friendly. The server checked on us a lot. The rest of the food was good to very good and properly hot, though I did find my poutine a bit salty for my liking, but it did have bacon on it…so… Anyway, the past two times we’ve been underwhelmed, so I’m not sure we’ll be back any time soon if ever. Too bad, cause we use to really enjoy this place.

We ordered the impossibly sexy burger and the loaded Lucy, got fries and onion rings. Overall it was delish, came out super hot and pretty quickly even though the restaurant was bumping. Would gladly return

I hate to say it but the service here has really gone down hill the last few years.. not sure if it’s change in ownership or what… My boyfriend and I went in and were sat to eat on a Friday night and it wasn’t that busy.. we were sat for 20 minutes and not a single server came and asked us if we wanted to order or even asked if we wanted drinks… meanwhile the servers were standing around chatting while we were ignored. We finally had enough and got up and left every server just stared at us and watched us leave and did not say a single word to us. So yeah we went next door and went to east sides. MUCH better experience. We told them what happened and they were more than happy to serve us immediately.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this place out since we had heard great things, our server Hunter made the experience so easy and fun!!! She was efficient, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I would highly recommend visiting The Works!!
