This place is yummy! It was fairly packed when we went, so going again at a slower time might just earn it back the final star. We tried four of the crepes, and they were all good for breakfast, but the ingredients felt very lumped together which made the crepe a little squishier than normal. That might be their style or it could have just been the rush! Their mimosa didn’t skimp!
Calm homey atmosphere. Fresh and delicious food. Gluten free crepes were an amazing texture. Flatbread special was tasty. Lots of coffee and teas options with flavors and alternative milks. Highly recommend trying this place out.
We stopped on our way to Vinoy park for a quick meal. The service was really friendly, and the inside shop was super clean, as was the seating outside. Food was made fresh, and quick, and the portions were way more than I was expecting! We’ve walked by The Wooden Rooster so many times, and this was our first time stopping in. I’m glad we found this little hidden gem on our walk! I had the apple melt on a baguette (sooooo good) and my son had the smoked salmon platter with an everything bagel.
I always try a black coffee whenever I go somewhere new. Got the cold brew this morning and it was oddly the best cold brew I’ve ever had?? Didn’t realize they specialize in crepes. 100% will be back to eat next time!
Great pleace for breakfast. One of the best cheesesteaks in all of st. Pete. Cream cheese and lox was very nicely done as well.
This is primarily a crepe focused restaurant, and they do have great crepes. We came for breakfast on a Sunday and the wait time was well beyond what it should be (30 minutes wait after ordering). Besides that, the portions were large, food arrived warm and was tasty. As long as you have an hour for a meal, go ahead and give them a shot. Hopefully they will get their service time shortened and the service time did not impact my rating
Came here for my bday breakfast and it felt like it was made for me. The food was excellent, I got the TLT on a baguette which filled me up but also made me feel like I could take on the day. The playlist was perfection. The fruit plate was the perfect side. This is the type of place that would make everyone love their neighborhood a little bit more if it was there.
Would have given it higher score but my food sat on the counter for 15 min. I had to ask for my food. my coffee was good. Crepe was decent but was better if served warm. Stay seemed confused as to who was to do what, dirty plate sat next to me for at least 25-30 min. Then when the lady took away the dirty plate she didn't ask me if i needed anything. Total patrons at this time was 11 seated. I asked for a side of avocado toast and i was given a half of avocado and cold toast. LOL
Went with a party of 4 on a Saturday. All the food was on point. So the kitchen is putting out creative crepes. You're going to want to share so you can sample several. The front may have been short staffed, giving benefit of doubt. The ordering process and time to be served took more time than anticipated. The time was worth it for the meal. Go with time to chat with friends while you wait and order desert crepe(s) to share to finish the meal.
I only stopped in to get a coffee, but when Melissa offered me a menu I said, “Why not.” The coffee was good as usual, but I was pleasantly surprised with the “Monsieur.” It was like an Americanized version of a Croque Monsieur. I got it on a baguette and it was good, but next time I’m going to try it on a crepe because I’m a little bit of a snob and it wasn’t the same as the baguettes I had when I lived in Paris. However, if I didn’t get the coffee and sandwich to go, sitting at a table outside on a cool spring afternoon really would have felt like the experience of sitting at a bistro in the south of France. I truly tip my hat to them, bravo. Melissa I’ll post a pic when I get the crepe...
