Amazing. The service is so good and the food tastes amazing i go to Scarborough 3-4 times a year and have done for the last 10 or so years. We only ever go to the Tunny Club and we always try to sit in the same place. Honestly i would not go anywhere else for fish and chips. Price is good as well for how beautiful the fish is. Parking: There is a car park round the corner but to get in there you have to go early in a morning around 10.30ish if not before. From there its a quick 2 min walk down the ally to the front door or if you want you can walk along the front which takes about 5 mins at a slow walk

3rd time we've been here, really nice chap behind the counter. Dog friendly, even gave them a free sausage each. Fish and chips excellent.

I don't eat meat, which can be difficult by the sea as even the chips are usually fried in beef fat. Came in here today and asked what they were fried in - when the gentleman working there said beef fat I told my friend to get his and I'd wait outside - it's never a big deal and I would never expect someone else to accommodate. But the man was so lovely - he told me they do both vegetarian AND gluten free on request - just fried it up in different oil and I got to partake in the traditional chippy tea by the sea! Great food, even better service! Vegetarian options: Vegetable oil for the chips (rare in seaside towns) Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free

Lovely, quaint side street gem. Great hospitality and away from the normal hustle and bustle of the lunchtime rush of tourists. Small tables - if there are more than 3 of you) there are bigger tables in the back area of the cafe and courtyard. Prices and portions are very impressive. Kid-friendliness: Excellent portions and choice for food and drink for children

I’m falling in love with Scarborough rather belatedly in my 50s and all I needed was favourite chippy. On a snowy day, my son and I stumbled upon The Tunny Catch and sealed the deal. Beautiful service, wonderful food and a building soaked in history. We could have eaten in but we loved eating our fish and chips in a blizzard. An unforgettable experience.
