The Stack Restaurant and Bar

We went out for a nice family meal and firstly we were presented with the wrong starter and told that's what we ordered, even though it wasn't on the menu we ordered from, this however was corrected. Two of us ordered the burgers which came cooked on the outside and raw in the middle, mistakes happen but you can't serve a chef raw meat and expect him to believe "it's the paprika in the burger that makes it red" the burgers were taken away and returned after what we can only assume was a blast in the microwave where one came back almost cooked and the other one was still raw in the middle and in-edible . To top off a negative experience we were still charged for the un eaten food and offered a pitiful apology as we were leaving the building. Incredibly disappointed doesn't quite cover it

What a fantastic place! Food was delicious, the staff was ever so kind and friendly and the chef was kind enough to accommodate my dietary needs. Can’t recommend enough and looking forward to dining there again!

Excellent food, interesting mixtures of tastes and textures. Unhurried fine dining. Great choice of Burnside Brewery beers and Speciality Gins and mixers. We keep returning - never disappointed.

Visited for the first time today. The food was delicious, I'm vegan and tried something very different to my usual choice. The food was very tasty and I'd recommend highly. Thanks for a good evening guys. Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options are pretty good.

Excellent food with extensive options. Well suited kids menu as well.

Visited with friends and were extremely well looked after by our waiter. Service was perfect and the food (and choice of food!) was brilliant. Will definitely be back.

It’s been a while since I’ve tasted a plate of food and thought wow, but that is exactly what I done when I tasted the BBQ Monkfish in the crab and ginger bisque. Popping with flavour. Superb. Also had a taste of the BBQ lamb it it was perfect. After just moving the the area, we think the stack has become our family’s go to when ever we fancy a treat.
