Lovely food, big portions. The service is friendly and the atmosphere of the pub is rustic but modernised. A good selection of alcohol free beverages were available.

Called in on spec on a Saturday afternoon and it was very quiet which is a bit of a shame but at least we got a table. Staff very friendly and attentive. We both went for a flat iron steak. It arrived with all the trimmings with choice of sauce. Simply one of the best cooked pieces of steaks we’ve had for a very long time. No hesitation to recommend and we’ll definitely go back.

Excellent Sunday lunch

We called in without a reservation and made to feel really welcome, it makes it such a positive experience when you are eating away from your home.

Had lots of fantastic meals here, but today I felt wasn’t as good as usual, the Sunday roast; great portion size on the positive, the food wasn’t very hot, the roast potatoes could have been more crispy, the pig in blanket wasn’t very nice, but the sweet was very nice.

Wonderful Sunday Roast, great service as always. Just 1 small critique please Roast the roast potatoes more.

Started with a portion of chips, wasn’t planning on eating but then saw food come out and it was rude not to Had steak sandwiches on ciabatta and it was stunning, melted in the mouth
