    • Knitcircus *Sow's Ear EXCLUSIVE* Sock Set

Represent our Yarn store on Main Street, whether your feet may take you! This sock set comes in two sizes and is divided into two center pull cakes to help you make your socks .About Gradient Striped Matching Socks SetsGradient-striped sock yarn creates short stripes for instant gratification and an overall gradient effect. The main color of the sock changes slowly as you knit - from almost completely one color to almost completely another. The gradients and the stripes happen magically as you knit! No knots in your socks, and no having to remember to change colors. This yarn is spectacular. You choose to start from the center of the cakes or the outside! If you start with the same color for each sock, you'll have maternal twins - every stitch of one sock matches the other exactly.Sizes - We dye socks for any size! Whether you want to fit a toddler or the captain of the football team, Knitcircus Sock Sets are ready for the job. Choose the perfect size for your project, all wound into two cakes dyed together so your socks will match! We recommend working toe-up socks whenever possible so you never stop knitting before your gradient finishes with a flourish.Medium socks set - approximately 300 yds/set. For women’s mid-calf socks sizes 5-10, women’s mittens, Men’s size 6-8 or kids’ knee socks.Large socks set - approximately 400 yds/set. • Ewetopia Helix DK

Helix is a unique self striping yarn made from US sourced Rambouilet and Targhee wool. It is hand dyed by us and processed from combed top making it extremely soft. The striping sequences are random and range in length, but are medium to long stripes, making it exciting for the yoke of a stranded sweater or shawl. Each skein even within the same lot can be drastically different looking! This is part of the excitement of working with hand made unique yarns, if you order more than 1 skein in a colorway we will do our best to find the best possible matching skeins!260 yds/ 3.5 oz (100 g)5-6 sts = 1 inch on US #5-7 (3.75-4.5 mm)Hand wash in cold water, lay flat to dry

    • Wilderness Knits for the Home

Wilderness Knits for the Home is Linka Neumann’s second book, showcasing a stunning collection of homeware knits to make while embracing the Scandinavian spirit and cosying up next to a warm fire. After the success of Wilderness Knits, with its cosy jumpers and cardigans set against the backdrop of the Norwegian landscape, Linka brings us gorgeous wall hangings, cushions, blankets (including for your dog!) and more. Once again, set in the stunning Norwegian countryside, the book inspires you to knit these beautiful creations and embrace the aesthetic of the Scandinavian wilderness. As ever, Linka uses her environment to inspire her as well as animals from the snowy north – with dogs, orcas, polar bears and reindeers finding their way into her designs. If making jumpers and cardigans with Scandi-style yokes feels too complicated for you, these simpler shapes of squares and rectangles will give you the confidence to make your own creations with similar designs. Including 27 projects – all with knitting diagrams and inspirational photography – you will be knitting presents for all your friends and family as well as for your own home in no time.

    • Kelbourne Woolens Scout

A DK weight, 2 ply heathered wool designed with classic knitting and crochet in mind, Scout is yarn for the sake of yarn. Perfect for garments, Scout is put up in a generous 100 gram, 274 yard hank. It is unfussy, beautiful, high-quality, and comes in a gorgeous color palette. As with the Highland wool in Andorra, the wool in Scout is a cross between Corriedale and Merino. It is not as soft as Merino, but it is stronger and adds durability to the yarn. Scout is also unique in that it is a heather, meaning multiple colors are pre-blended prior to spinning to create a shade with a lot of depth and variation. Natural is the one exception to this – it is the undyed white shade of wool.100% wool2-ply heathered274 yards (250 meters) / 100 gram skein20-22 sts = 4” (10 cm)US 5-7 (3.75-4.5 mm) needleMade in Peru

From the 17 patterns included here, you might choose to knit a pair of elegant gloves; a long circular snood; a tam with a kaleidoscopic crown; or one of 5 different matching sets for head and hands. SARKSark (n) a simple shirt or chemise Sark (v) to clothe, to provide with clothing Sark (n) the underlying structure of a roof or building Sark (v) to line or underpin In Scots, a sark is an essential layer, the foundation of any outfit. In her new collection, Kate Davies has created twelve foundational designs with structure and simplicity at their heart. Featuring a technique of twisting stitches that produces fabric with a beautifully textured and embossed appearance, each pattern explores the creative potential of the twisted stitch in pieces that are engaging to knit and easy to wear. There’s a comfortable oversized gansey, a smart cardigan with panels and puffed sleeves, a pair of yoke sweaters, a cosy wrap, and an appealing range of quick-to-knit one-skein accessories, all designed with the clear instructions and clean finishing details that are hallmarks of Kate’s work. The book also includes a collection of thought-provoking monochrome images, as Tom explores ideas of pattern and structure in the natural world and built environment. A celebration of collaborative, creative making, Sark is a book as beautiful as it is useful.12 patterns (6 garments, 6 accessories) for DK / sportweight yarn. • Allover by Kate Davies

AlloverIn Allover, Kate Davies has gathered together a colourful collection to capture the joy of stranded knitting. Inside this book you’ll find fourteen designs that are bold, playful and eclectic. Influenced by northern colourwork traditions from Norway and Sweden to Iceland and Shetland, there are fourteen allover designs to choose from, including graphic hats and mitts and cosy yoke pullovers and cardigans. In Starnkeeker, the familiar monochrome motifs of Selbu accessories are adapted for a colour-blocked Argyle vest, while the Tìoraidh cardigan reveals how a small “filler” motif might become a two-tone pattern’s main attraction. Kate encourages you to mix things up as well: many of the patterns are charted and photographed in several different colourways in patterns that are full of knitterly inspiration and opportunities for play. Whether you are whipping up a jolly pair of Pouzles, or taking your time over a show-stopping piece like Schene, there’s much creative joy to be found in the pages of this colourful book..112pp. Designed and printed here in Scotland.

    • Moon and Turtle

From Pom Pom Press:"We’ve long admired Kiyomi and Schiko’s talent to infuse unique and contemporary design details with classic knitwear styles, and we’re honored to publish the twins’ first collaborative collection. Moon and Turtle contains nine knit designs (4 garments, 5 accessories) which showcase an edgy urban aesthetic, reflecting the twins’ life in Toronto / Tkaronto, Canada.Much like Kiyomi and Sachiko themselves, Moon and Turtle is truly synergic. The duality associated with identical twins is thoughtfully and intelligently embedded into every aspect of the book. From the designs, to the authors’ musings, to the title of the book itself, there’s a quiet harmony in the idea that two things or people can be visually similar but also appreciably distinct. The patterns are gender-neutral, graded up to a 62” chest, and contain body and sleeve length adjustments in the hope that this book can be enjoyed by many knitters for years to come. Playful colorwork, paired with simply constructed garments, means that Moon and Turtle is a fabulous step up from pattern books such as Ready Set Raglan and Take Heart. Kiyomi and Sachiko’s sisterly affection for one another is clear and shines through their words and designs. We, at Pom Pom Press, were charmed by Moon and Turtle and we’re sure you will be, too!"

    • Pom Pom Quarterly no. 43: Winter 2022

Great knits are like great art because they make us think differently, and the process of making can be even more revelatory! Showing us how we can look to, and beyond, our horizons when it comes to our craft, our 43rd issue is inspired by the work of women artists Etel Adnan and Hilma af Klint.Etel Adnan’s work features landscapes, using bold and unexpected colours to portray the places where the land meets the sky, and Hilma af Klint created large abstract paintings of metaphysical meditations that she felt she had been called on to represent. Both show us distinct ways of looking at the world, and at possible worlds beyond the visible realm, just as a knitter or crocheter can look at a ball of yarn and ponder a plethora of outcomes! Our winter collection of 10 patterns features striking colours and innovative techniques, and bold and imaginative knits that play with pattern and perspective. So whether you fancy a colourwork challenge, or just some meditative time as you watch the sun set in the sky, there’s bound to be something here to expand your crafting horizons!Featuring designs by: AMY BLACKWELL // KJERSTIN ROVETTA // MARZENA KOŁACZEK // AVERY ERB // AUDREY BORREGO // REGINA WIMMER // MARIE RÉGNIER // MER STEVENS // SARAH OPIEIssue 43 also includes an insightful and expansive interview with yarn dyers Jude Harper and Lola Johnson, and a fascinating dig into the history of the colour pink by Hannah McGregor. Pom Pom Quarterly no. 43: Winter 2022
    • Pom Pom Quarterly no. 44 Spring 2023

You never know what the day will bring with spring, so it’s the perfect season for layering! All of the pieces in this issue play with opacity, texture, and colourwork, layering techniques, tones, and transparency - sometimes all at once! Our initial inspiration for this issue came from layering in images such as risographs, shadows, and superimposed photos, which got us thinking about printing and how it works. As a print publication, transferring the words and images we craft so carefully onto paper is part of what we do. We’ve also invited two equally awe-inspiring people to model our knits for you this season. Angel Joy Flores and Alicia Roth Weigel are both activists who work towards a more equitable world for the LGBTQIA+ community in Texas and beyond. More than ever, representation of trans and intersex people is vital and we were honoured to work with them.Featuring designs by: KLARA NILSSON - KLARYBERRY // MAREN ODENTHAL - KNITTERISTA // JESS KAVANAGH // JULIA MADILL // ARA STELLA // SUSANNA KAARTINEN - SANNA AND CO // JOANNE FOWLER // AMALIA SIEBER - KINDRED RED // SORAYA GARCÍA Issue 44 also includes a celebration of the art of screen printing by Mei Stephens, who muses on the parallels between printing and knitting, and Hannah McGregor’s second contribution to Pom Pom, this time taking on the colour yellow and its cultural history. If you’re looking for a sweet treat, our recipe for bebinca, a layered Goan dessert, will have your mouth watering!

Sunny days are typically associated with summer and Pom Pom Publishing couldn’t wait to celebrate the brightest season for their newest issue. Guest Editor: Candice English of The Farmer's Daughter Fibers"Collaborating with creatives we admire is one of the great joys of making Pom Pom. Candice English of The Farmer’s Daughter Fibers has been an inspiration to us for a long time, both as a dyer and as an advocate for Indigenous women. We are thrilled to welcome Candice as Guest Editor for this issue.Candice has brought a fresh perspective to these pages, along with her distinctive aesthetic, drawing from both her Indigenous roots and life in the American West. We are so grateful to her for sharing herself, her work, and her family with us. It’s an honour to be trusted with the stories and creativity of each contributor to this autumn issue. The patterns in this issue are a representation of hard and soft duality in the American West. The hard work embedded in the people of Montana is a result of the softness you find in the spirit of Indigenous homelands. You will find classic designs that can be worn in utilitarian ways but also jazzed up a bit for social outings."Featuring designs by: Allison Lutes // Esti Juango // Elena Solier Jansà // Natalie Bullock // Sandy Jones // Lindsey Fowler // Lena Zharichenko // Lee Ann Yazzie // Imke von Nathusius // Tin Can Knits

It’s no secret that, when it comes to colour, texture, and pattern, we’re maximalists through and through! This autumn, we decided to embrace this natural instinct of ours and curate a knit and crochet collection inspired by abundance. The result is 11 glorious designs with immense visual impact, highly satisfying and tactile motifs, and which echo the intricate aesthetic of the Arts and Crafts movement. The patterns are mesmerising, romantic, and somehow embody the wondrous generosity imbued in the act of making. Featuring designs by: EDDA LILJA // ELENA DIMCHEVSKA // EMMA DUCHER // EMMA JANET // ERICA SUFKA // FRAN LÓPEZ // LUCIA LUCIANO // MARIA WALTERS // OLIVIA SCZEPANIK // WEICHIEN CHAN (THEPETITEKNITTER) // YUCCAWhat’s more, our autumn 2022 collection features an article by Aja Barber, an eminent figure in the pushback against fast fashion, who encourages us to think more about the clothes we pair with our handmade items. Spend a golden autumn afternoon reading our interview with embroidery extraordinaire, Tessa Perlow, and using Ella Hawkins’ biscuit decorating tutorial to make confectionery which looks like your knitting.

    • Poptone Stud Earrings

Poptone is a collection of handmade jewelry designed for the vibrantly quirky. I design, hand-illustrate, and assemble each piece with careful attention to detail and very hypoallergenic materials - all from my home studio. Poptone started in 2016 when I began experimenting with the combination of hand-drawn illustrations and transparent materials to create three-dimensional jewelry. My first designs arose from those experiments and grew into a jewelry collection now sold in boutiques, indie book stores, and museum gift shops across North America.🙌 Each earring is handmade and hand-illustrated, ensuring that no two are exactly alike. The earrings are coated in glossy resin and made with hypoallergenic nickel-free titanium earring posts - perfect for people with metal allergies! These earrings are highly water-resistant, but please take care by removing them before showering or swimming.

Quality:100 % non-mulesed merino wool, Oeko-Tex Standard 100Needle size:4,5 mmLength:125 m | worsted weightDensity:18 sts and 26 rows = 10 cmWash:Hand-wash in cool water, dry flatWeight:50 gOur Heavy Merino consists of 100% Merino wool. The yarn has a beautiful and natural structure. It is a soft and delicious yarn, slightly less fine than our thin Merino. Our merino wool comes from sheep bred in Patagonia, where mulesing is not practiced. The wool can be traced directly back to the farm it comes from. In this way, we know exactly which farm, farmers, and sheep made our wool.Merino wool has many excellent properties. It is temperature-regulating. That is, the wool keeps our bodies warm in cold weather, and releases heat in warm weather, keeping our skin cool. At the same time, wool, like silk, can carry moisture away from the skin, and can absorb 30% of its weight without feeling wet.Wool is also dirt-repellent and requires minimal care. The yarn is STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificeret

PRODUCT INFORMATION:Quality:100 % silk, Oeko-Tex Standard 100Needle size:3 mmLength:250 m| fingering weightDensity:28 sts and 38 rows = 10 cmWash:Hand-wash in cool water, dry flatWeight:50 gOur Pure Silk is a soft, exclusive yarn of pure bourette silk (raw silk) produced from silk fibers collected from cocoons after the chrysalises mature into moths and escape. The Silk is cruelty free. The silk fibers are collected from cocoons after the chrysalises mature into moths and escape. This means that the silkworms are not killed in the process as they are inconventional silk production.Silk has extensive heat-regulating qualities and can therefore be used in garments all year round. Silk can absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture while still feeling dry against your skin, so it is especially suitable for summer wear. At the same time, silk, like wool, has insulating properties, retaining heat in cold weather. The yarn is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, and the little butterfly on the label indicates that the chrysalids evolve into butterflies, thereby allowing them to complete their life cycle. Our spinning mill follows ethical, technical- and environmental standards creating yarns free from harmful chemicals.

    • Malabrigo Verano

100% Pima cotton; DK weight. Its softness, strength, and shine are perfect for both warmer weather and those in between times where you just need a little something. Plus, this new yarn was a fun puzzle for us to figure out. Different fiber means different techniques and different dyes, but we had to achive the same bright, intense malabrigo style colors you expect from us. Knitting year round with malabrigo just got a little bit cooler!Yarn Weight: Worsted/ DKYarn Texture: 4 plyYardage/Meters: 205 yards (187 meters)Skein Weight: 100 grams (3.53 ounces)Gauge: 18-22 stitches=4 inchesNeedle Size: US 5 - 6 or 3.75 - 4mmHook Size: US E-4 to 7 or 3.5-4.5 mmContent: 100% Pima CottonCare: Hand Wash, cold water, dry flat

    • Skipper

Kelbourne Woolens Skipper is a 4-ply 100% un-mercerized cotton yarn, perfect for knitting, crochet, and crafts. Skipper is made of Peruvian Tanguis cotton, a long staple cotton that is soft – but not too soft – and very strong. A delight to work with, its variable gauge makes Skipper ideal for baby garments, summery tees, amigurumi, accessories, or whatever else you’re hoping to create! When designing Skipper, we wanted quality and a softness that stands up to the test of time, wear, and our wallets. The clear winner is Tanguis cotton, which we think is the best cotton fiber available on the market for yarn production. Tanguis cotton is absorbent and wicks moisture from perspiration much better than normal cotton, so you can wear natural, breathable garments without synthetic high-tech fibers. Its long staple fiber length is more resistant to pilling and fluffing off on your hands as you work, and is less prone to wrinkling, too!Tanguis cotton was developed to be more resistant to cotton wilt, and as a result is more environmentally friendly! It requires less water to grow in Peru’s climate, and can be harvested up to six times per year. About 80% of the cotton grown in Peru is Tanguis cotton, making it readily available and its use supports existing farms and infrastructure, an important consideration when developing new products for the market.100% Tanguis Cotton137 yards (125 meters) / 50 gram ball22-26 sts = 4” (10 cm)US 2-4 (2.75-3.5 mm) needleMachine wash cool, lay flat to dryMade in Peru
