The Sandwich Stop

I've been here twice since discovering this place. 1st time had the Italian combo sandwich. It was fantastic. Nobody has bread like these guys. Best ever. 2nd time, I went with my oldest son, and we both got the smash burger. I'm not kidding when I say it was really a good burger. The owners are the best. Nicest Greek lads I've ever met, lol. There open from 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday and they also cater. Dietary restrictions: Lots of options

(Update at bottom) Since moving from Hamilton to Ottawa in 2016, I went on a search for the perfect sandwich shop that would replace the one I grew up with in Hamilton. I tried some of the well known spots in Ottawa, but none stood out to me. As soon as I opened the bag and smelled the sandwich I knew I had found it. I had "Manny's Sandwich." The Portuguese bun was almost perfect, the ingredients were fresh, flavourful and delicious. The sauce was top notch. I'm looking forward to trying more of the sandwiches that they have to offer, and I would highly recommend this place to others. I wish I had discovered it sooner. (A note for those looking to go to the shop. Google Maps may not take you to the correct building. It is the very last building on the right side of the laneway.) Update: I try to go by the Sandwich Stop every couple of weeks. Recently I had the special of the day, a roast pork sandwich. It was absolutely scrumptious. Once again cementing their spot as my #1 sandwich place in Ottawa. Highly recommend you try this place out. Pictured: A Thursday special, "The Hog".

Stopped here yesterday for the first time. And wow what a sandwich! I can't believe I didn't know about this place before now. I had the Italian hero. Was the best sandwich I had.

Ive only ever had their pulled pork. Holy man it's INCREDIBLE! And also HUGE. If you're hungry and enjoy flavor this is the place for you!!!

This place is a hidden gem literally. Not on a main road tucked behind shops. the people are awesome, willing to chat and answer any questions you have. Now the food, the main reason you're here. It's the best sandwich I've had in a long time. They do more than just sandwiches as well. Highly recommend this place
