The Red Lion - JD Wetherspoon

Stayed here whilst on a stag do, the room was great, very clean, the bathroom was also very clean, and had a decent shower. The pub is in an excellent location for a night out and, being a Spoons, is very reasonably priced. Whilst in the room you wouldn't know you were above a busy pub, it was very quiet upstairs, obviously done a great job with the soundproofing. I would definitely stay here again.

Probably the best rooms to stay in locally. Poor service though, you could wear a pink hat, wait ages to be served and the guy in grey who's just turned up at the bar gets served instantly, Wetherspoons trait in some pubs. But great value and good food and drinks. Safety: Visited on a Sunday, keep your wits about you, out and about.
