The food was very good. I ordered the Perch burger. As prominent as the jalapeno marmalade is in other dishes on the menu, I was expecting more of that flavor in the burger since that is one of the toppings. The jalapeno flavor was completely lost among the other ingredients, but the marmalade was fantastic on the fries.
They do not do online or over the phone waitlists and will have you waiting under the sun over 30 mins. I tried calling beforehand for my elderly mom and other friends and they refused to do beforehand. Lol just lost 7 of us as customers, we were so excited to check out this place and recommend to our friends coming from vegas.
1 star for the experience of the birds. Food was not worth the money. The pasta pollo $21 and the bowl was filled half way. I had the avocado tacos and it’s just 4 tacos for $17. Kids had adult tenders that do not come with fries, so we had to order a large fry that was half filled. Bill was $100. We did try the flight, fun to try. I’d say this is a one and done restaurant. Come to see the birds but go eat somewhere else. IMO and my husbands.
This is such a terrible idea! The birds need a quiet and dark place at night to sleep not a night club with raging music!!!! Exploiting birds for financial gain is evil!!!
They have live parrots on the bottom level while extremely LOUD live music plays on the top floor. When I was there, I had to leave because of how uncomfortably loud the music was. Seems insensitive considering the parrots were trying to sleep just below (it was around 11 p.m- good time for a bar, bad time for sleeping parrots). For a place that prides themselves on how "well" they take care of animals...YIKES. Please send the birds to a real sanctuary—this is NOT an appropriate place for them whatsoever. I'm sorry YOU think your restaurant is actually a good place for parrots. And more importantly, i'm sorry for the animals.
Terrible place. Abusing the birds. DO NOT GO.
Maybe the experience is different during the week. But within 20 feet distance of a live rock band, I witnessed exotic birds tucking their heads into their shoulder. Drunk individuals were poking through the fence and yelling at these birds, clearly disrupting them. My ears hurt from the music and I can't imagine what these birds heard and felt. The whole atmosphere made us uncomfortable and seemed like animal abuse. This bar hop ruined our vibe and our night, and their ownership of these poor birds should be reviewed, to be frank. Edit: I appreciate your response. For the birds' sakes, I'm hoping your team of experts take into account the abuse these birds go through and make changes accordingly. Rescued or not, birds shouldn't be yelled at or physically threatened by your customers in the middle of the night, nor exposed to such a high decibel level - let alone for long periods of time. From some of your more recent reviews, I see more people are taking notice. If your experts would like to release a public statement standing by your establishment's actions, I would very much like to read it. But at this time, even if saved from euthanasia, I question the ethics of the periodic torture these creatures go through. I'm sure something could be done to better their environment and enrich their second chance at life.
One of my favorite local places! Great atmosphere and is unique with all of the parrots they have. Great food and beer! Also dog friendly which is a definite plus!
Was excited to try this place but I wasn’t overly impressed. The food was fine. The beer was okay. Atmosphere was nice. But the service missed the mark. Our waitress only checked on us twice throughout our entire dinner. Once to take our order then once to drop off the check. Then, on the check the MINIMUM tip button is 20%. No 15% or even 18%. So when I manually started to type a custom tip in to the servers iPad she told me I can just select one of the pre-selected options (20%, 25%, or 30%). I physically laughed out loud when she said then because a 20% tip means you went ABOVE AND BEYOND, not the bare minimum. It was a little rude. Plus the food/drinks were not cheap to begin with. Would I go again? If someone invited me to go maybe. But not planning on returning anytime soon.
