The Original Pancake House

I am revising my review from 5 stars 10 years ago. Used to be one of my favorite treat places to go to. For the past few years though, I go hoping it will be better than the last disappointing visit. Unfortunately, instead of improving to the amazing restaurant it used to be, it falls even more short than the visit before. I am giving up the hope it will ever be fabulous again. The apple pancake was not done but yet burnt and tasteless. I was shorted a bacon slice, but that really was alright since it was old and cold. Office coffee is better than here. Not sure how to describe the off-putting taste of the water, it is more like water straight out of the river. The wait staff were just leaning on the wall in the dinning area with phones in their hand. I suppose I should just get what I need as to not bother them. Sad and disappointed I don't see ever going back.

My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast about 30 minutes after they opened this morning. This was my second time dining here and while I can’t say the first time was very memorable, I thoroughly enjoyed dining here today. Our server, Jonalyn, was the sweetest. I was concerned about the size of the pancakes with there being six to an order and she suggested I get a half order. I don’t like to waste food so I was very grateful she mentioned that there was a half order available. Not to go unmentioned, my cappuccino was delicious! Jonalyn was very friendly and made just the right amount of conversation with us. My boyfriend and I had both commented to one another that we thought she was so lovely. Thank you Jonalyn! I’m already looking forward to the next time we are back!
