Really disappointed with our experience. Lovely countryside setting but unfortunately our 1st time visit was spoilt by a very rude table full of customers who had no consideration for anyone else dining. They were excessively loud for the whole hour and a half we were there, especially their children who were not told to quieten down by either the parents or staff. A few of the other tables were quite annoyed by this disturbance too. We have children in our family who have been taught to behave in public. The food wasn't great, particularly the burger which was pink (we were told that's how these types of burgers cook after we queried it). There was about an hour wait for the food so we won't be returning unfortunately.
The O.I. is not too bad, service ok food ok nothing special or outstanding, just pleasant and nice enough, nothing to flashy. The place has recently been done up and looks nice, but taken away some of the old atmosphere in my opinion. But definitely worth a stop if you want some food or a beer or brew
On a cold and rainy day a stop here was amazing. Warm and relaxing atmosphere with super service from the waitresses. A brilliant range of dishes so much to choose from. I eventually chose a vegetarian pie. It was superb. Highly recommended if you are near do call in. Thank you so much. Dietary restrictions: Good selection of gluten free breads
Very disappointed, pie of the day Liver and bacon literally had no meat filling just gravy.
Real disappointment on mothers day. Over priced, average food, poor drink selection for a Devon pub (esp Ciders), screaming babies ruined any conversation you'd try to have. Strict two hour table time. Ample parking.
