Great place for a drink in Matlock. Landlord is very knowledgeable on the beer front, a wide variety on cask and hand pulled. The wife is also happy because they have some great wines and flavoured ciders too. To top it all, you can eat your pizza there from D’Allesandro which is about a minute walk away. Such a friendly place; we travel up from belper and love it when we visit.

Absolutely brilliant place to drink and relax and the atmosphere is peaceful and friendly owners and bar staff are friendly

As ever The Newsroom continues to be one of the best (if not the best) venue in Matlock. Greeted with a smile by Mark and had a great chat about some of the local beers he always has on. If you’re in the area, it’s a must visit.
