The Melting Pot - Tacoma

This is nothing short of a date night worth your time. The service was amazing from the very beginning to the very end. The wait staff was knowledgeable and helpful in making sure that we had a wonderful night. There was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting on us when we arrived. We had some amazing appetizers with cheese. And then we had a beautiful salad, followed by the most delicious meat and sauces. The creme brulee dessert was incredible!

The food itself was good, however service was definitely lacking. Our server attempted to bring us the wrong salad 2 different times before bringing us the correct one on the third try. He was also uninformed on the specials that happen each week (ie. "Thursdate" "BFFF Wednesday" etc) when we ordered, he took orders for sides (which were already predetermined with our deal and included), asked about entree selections (the special was app/salad/dessert not entrees) and wanted to charge us a "Ala carte" fee for our dessert fondue that was included with our meal. Even on drink orders the server was unable to name a single brand of whiskey available. All told it was $185 for 3 people "on special" for a single appetizer cheese fondue, 3 salads, and a single dessert fondue, 1 jack/coke, 1 cosmo, and 1 regular coke (single round on all the drinks). I understand that the experience is supposed to be the big selling point, however when there are multiple hang ups with presentation/delivery it's hard not to feel like it's not worth it.

The restaurant itself was nice. We went on a Saturday at 5 with a group of 16 adults and children. The waitress did not want to be there and every time we needed her she was no where to be found. Drinks were constantly empty. Food was okay. Experience was fun. No need to return though.

Went to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. The food, service and atmosphere were excellent. They treated us with special attention to our anniversary. It was and will be part of a happy 30th. anniversary.

Celebrated our 21st anniversary and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Our server Nathan was exceptional, wonderful recommendations for wine and IPA!! Thank you Nathan for making our experience top notch!!
