The Local

A gem here in Kent, my husband and I try to stop by once a week for a delicious meal and great drinks. We have a habit of stopping by for the nachos (big portion which is great for two hungry people like ourselves) and the fries are just mwah chefs kiss. Apparently everything is made in house and you can tell by the great quality that it’s made with care. Since we stop by fairly often, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting Jamie and Bailey, two of the nicest, coolest bartenders around. It’s always nice to get a chance to have a quick chat with them and taste some of their creative concoctions. Eli is also a friendly face to see and is top notch on the food. Overall, we’re so happy this place is there. It truly is a place worth checking out.

Edit: We came back again for Old Fashioneds, our fav, and the fries were nice and hot! We really want to like The Local. We need a good spot to hang in Kent. Kelly is fantastic, such great service the first two times we came. Dinner food is so so, brunch was great. This last time we went - the old fashioneds were great (they always are) but half of the fries were cold. I, at first, didn't believe my partner when he said they were cold and then I found the cold fries. Give the place a shot, but to be honest, food execution needs to improve.
