Cute cafe, good food, a bit expensive.
Lovely independent cafe, home made quiches/pies and stuffed vegetables. Menu with gluten free/vegan options. Generous portions for lunch before visiting Kew Gardens Dietary restrictions: Menu clearly indicated gluten free options which is always useful
We visited Kew Gardens while on a week-long trip to London from the US. While walking from the train station nearby toward the Gardens entrance, we stopped into the Cafe for lunch. I was beyond happy we did, and wish we lived locally. It was so cozy and charming. We shared a savory pie of courgettes(zucchini), and I think leaks and mushrooms (??). It was phenomenal! We also shared a simple salad of mixed greens with a light vinaigrette dressing. This, too, was fresh and delicious. I’ve thought of this place many times since we returned home (10 days ago). Theres seating outside if available and a nice day. There’s even a very quiet resident cat who kept us company sleeping on the chair under our table. Locals seem to stop in often, which is a good sign. I’d try so many other of their many food options and baked goods if I went more often. (‘Just a heads-up…Another review mentioned them only taking cash, but I don’t recall that being our experience.) Obviously, I’d highly recommend this cafe if you’re looking for something simple and lovely.
Great place for a chat and a coffee
A cosy Cafe with friendly staff and a good inexpensive menu. We went there for breakfast on the way to the gardens and liked it so much we returned on the way back. I would go again for all the nice things on the menu...
