I have been here many times, great view, good bands, casual atmosphere. I'm writing this because of last nite 3/9. Hot as heck, old dusty fans not working. Fix the fans. The drinks were warm, fix the fridges. The bar back walked by 20 empty bottles, glasses picked up 2 waked back behind bar. I told my friend watch this guy, it was unbelievable back and forth 2 glasses. ONE bartender for the whole place on Saturday night, band night. Took about 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar. The bar was packed with people waiting to order. We left after 1 drink. And the owner sits at a table all night oblivious to what's going on. Help the bartender, hire another bartender for busy nights, walk around & see what's going on. Also the owner hogs a big table, empty chairs while the lady customers stand, always not just last night. Kid-friendliness: Dogs and kids were there.

What a dirty dump!! Was there last night (feb.25) Dirty smelly was waiting and waiting at are table for service. My son in law looked up at the wine rack and a big Rat walked right across it!!! Disgusting. P.S. we didn’t stay to eat and walked out disgusted

Had the pork schnitzel, huge portion, but lacks the buttery goodness I am used to having. Cane with small sides. App was the big pretzel, ordered with extra cheese. It's not worth the $14 plus $1.50 for cheese that was thin. Mustard is spicy. They serve you with 1 tiny portion. You have to ask for a 2nd to ration out pretzel to mustard. Band was playing, they were good, but music was too loud, couldn't have a conversation while eating and sitting at bar. Odd set up.

Won’t be back Sorry waitress good After that, not so much! House salad half of it past its prime the other half had been frozen! Translucent lettuce. Ranch dressing straight from hidden valley So that was ok Pretzel beer cheese was water like and tasted nasty Chicken quesadilla was ok but won’t do again very very greasy! Ambiance none existent even for a dive bar Chairs literally you can fall through them Deck held together by ropes Clean up people! Hopefully you can save it! Hard for me to write a bad review it takes alot but this was just bad.

Food was bland, small portions for side and flavorless . Bartender was friendly . Beer wasn't the coldest . Nice atmosphere outside besides that place is kinda dingy and not much to be desired . .

The Hoffman is awesome as far as the vibe, location and ambiance. Unfortunately, my family and I had a terrible experience with ordering dinner on a Saturday night during the winter season. Sat for an hour and a half before the waitress said we could order food, because for some reason the kitchen was on a hold at 6:30 PM. We had a toddler with us so thankfully they made exception and brought the kids meal, but once he finished we were finally able to put our order in. Once we did we waited another 45 mins. We got fed up and went in to inquire about what the additional wait was for and were told to go back outside and wait for the waitress. She never showed back up probably due to being embarrassed so I went back in to speak to them again. The food was ready but my family had already went to wait in the car. I then felt obligated to take the food and they boxed it up. The waitress then brought me a bill for $200 with nothing removed for the nonsense we had just went through. At that point I was pretty pissed and told her I didn’t want the food and was only willing to pay for the alch and apps. She then said repeatedly that I said I wanted the food to which I replied I am not paying $200 for takeout. She took the food off the bill after another 20 mins of her disappearing. While waiting for the check we saw her in the kitchen yelling about reselling the food. The waitress was really sweet and we could tell it was not her fault. Could clearly see the kitchen staff was breaking down. We had really high hopes for this place and were talking about it before our visit because we heard such good things. Bad night I suppose. In no rush to go back.
