The Getaway Cafe

I am a big fan of Christian, Dina and what they are dong here in south st vital. They have created a great place to eat, drink and here live music. They are also always very friendly to my girlfriend Marianne and me. I remain impressed: However, tonight’s show, ‘captain Kirk and the Sunday raiders, was the best I have heard except when Christian is playing himself.

Very fun, well run, Spooky trivia night, thanks for accommodating our party of 7! The pizza was delicious, will definitely be back again for dinner and to watch live music. Great spot. Bar service was a tad slow, our group would have ordered more bevies had the server come around:)

We made a last minute decision to do a paint night here, so ate in the cafe prior to starting. Food was good and service was average. It looks like they are known for their pizza which may be worth a try sometime. Looks like they have live music so that also would be worth a try if you live in the area.

The most fun I have had since I can not even remember. Great food. Great music. Fun and relaxing and comfortable place.

We've stopped in here a number of times for lunch and had nothing but great experiences and food. The Reuben is my favourite, I've had it with fries, soup, and Greek salad and enjoyed all of them. Everything else we've tried has been excellent too.

What a great place for live music! We played a show at the Getaway last night and it was a really wonderful experience. The space is warm and intimate with great sound. High quality gear in-house as well. Chris, Dina and the rest of the staff were all so lovely and the pizza was fantastic! Highly recommended a stop at the Getaway for live music if you get the chance

Great food, everything fresh. Went for lunch, but next time will go for a wednesday evening when they have live performances.
