Walked into this pub and the staff just started at me. There was no ‘Hello’ or ‘Can I help you?’, ‘Would you like a table or a drink?’ We found ourselves a table to the side of the room and I saw the lad behind the bar with a striped top on whisper to his friend then bluntly stated ‘Yeah that table is reserved in 20 minutes.’ He then proceeded to glare at us. When we eventually found a table round the back nobody offered us a menu or spoke to us. There was only 12 food options across the whole menu and each was very highly priced at £16-£18 for things like a fish and chips or a pie. We decided if nobody was going to speak politely or offer good service here then we would go to a different pub. Luck had it that we found a lovely one just a short walk away.
Food excellent, ambience fab Thank you
Called in for a bite to eat on Wednesday, the service was fantastic, very friendly and attentive staff, the food we had was lovely and beautifully presented we will definitely be calling again. I would very much recommend a visit.
Bar tender incredibly rude, won’t be returning!!!
Went yesterday, I had fish chips, garden peas, the fish was huge, and tested just like it had been caught that morning. My friend had loaded fries, and the other had chilli con carne. Absolutely delicious , will be going back, compliments to the chef, cracking job.
Fantastic country pub, excellent service (dogs welcome and they have an option on the menu), specials board was different from normal pub grub (although that is available as well), good choice of beers, lagers and cider, would DEFINITELY think of going again.
Lovely food, and the staff were friendly, especially Chloe.
