The Best Thing I Ever Ate!

Having lived in Alaska for 47 years, I have had my share of deep fried halibut. I have had home made, restaurant made, store bought.....you name I have had it. This place truly was/is the best tasting, freshest and quite frankly the BEST by a long shot deep fried halibut I have ever tasted. It was probably no older than a few days out of the water. This can be validated by the literal melting in your mouth. I would fly to Honnah just to have their halibut it is that good.

Had a salmon taco (it was almost like a panini) with a spicy Asian slaw and dressing - it was amazing! Great potato salad too. It’s a short walk from the brewery bus stop that goes to the cruise docks. Definitely drop by on your stop at Icy Straight Point.

It was nice to get a cup of hot soup after walking all day on land. Cute place, soup was tasty...and the fisherman's daughter really works in the kitchen! We stopped here June '23.

Fantastic experience and awesome food! We loved the salmon taco and the potato salad. Don’t miss this in Hoonah!

Enjoyed the good and location

Worth the wait! Salmon and halibut tacos are highly recommended! The food was amazing. For a small business accommodating an overwhelming amount of people coming from cruise ships, they knocked it out of the park. Staff was kind and prompt, told us right away of the wait, it wasn't an issue. Great restaurant worth every bit of the walk or shuttle ride there. Kid-friendliness: Great kid options. Across from a playground. Much needed parent break. Wheelchair accessibility: Easy ramp for wheelchairs to their small inside dining. Lower area at street level.

Awesome Alaskan coffee. Cheap prices. Not a tourist trap. Right across from the park. Outdoor seating with covered seating as well. Didn't try any food but the menu sounds awesome. Maybe a 20 to 25 minute walk from the cruise terminal.
