Absolutely fabulous DOG and rambler FRIENDLY old Inn. Rip roaring fire. Food was amazing and the staff were so attentive. GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS! They even surprised us with a free cheesecake with a candle for my wife's birthday! 5 stars all round!! Called in on a rainy blustery day, looking like drowned rats after a curtailed walk in the beautiful local area. Luby gave us exceptional, kind, thoughtful service. She lit a roaring log fire for us, brought fabulous home made soup and croque monsieur (think there's a bit of a gem in the kitchen too) and was equally kind and attentive to all the other customers coming in from the weather. The menu looked great and I will be back for a fuller meal in the evening soon.

Excellent Lunch break after a wonderful and sunny walk through Nine Ladies stone circle. Fish and chips very tasty. After the walk a very cold beer. And most appreciate. Dog friendly.

Popped in for a sandwich after a walk on the rocks behind the pub. The sandwich was gorgeous and possibly the nicest chips I've ever had. Only problem was it was about pricey for a couple of sandwiches and a drink, but maybe that's just me not getting with the times. Would definitely go back to try something else off the menu.
