Lovely home cooked food alongside well kept and a good selection of beers.

i was mislead, thought vinegar was chocolate sauce, gagged.

Amazing food, beer and lovely little walks upto mellor Cross not 20mins away with beautiful views over towards the peak district. Can sit and watch the planes come in. There is a 10km circular route which is used by the Mellor 10km trail run each year which takes you through woods, past train stations and up through farm land along the banks of the river. The Devonshire pub is perfect place to end the journey and eat with the other half or just the dog lovely part of the world

The Devonshire is one of a few places that will allow large groups (16 when we go as a family) and genually happy to host you. The food is great, the selection is not huge but you can expect the usual pub grub with a nicer twist. Excellent all round.
