The Deli

I made a very long trip to go buy a vehicle and was Soooo looking forward to stopping there on the way home, I showed up at about 5 min.after closing (SUPER BUMMED) I peeked through the front door and saw someone in the back and they saw me and came to the door, I explained to him that it was no big deal that I would catch them the next time. It was the Owner and he invited me in and was super nice and opened everything back up and fixed my Subs ! (I looked forward to these all day had even brought a cooler lol) I tried to tip him but he would not accept it. I've been going there since the early 80s. The SUPER DELI Sub is the BOMB.!! Family owned and Fantastic !!!!

I love this place! It’s been one of my favorite spots since they opened the Fairfax location. Best New York style deli subs you can get (and what certain local chains think they are).

Stopped by this spot during a trip down to VA based on these reviews and was not disappointed. Being from NY it’s difficult to find deli sandwiches out of state but The Deli delivered!!!! Book marking this place for life!

Top tier Italian cold cut sandwich. Fresh bread, thinly sliced meats, perfect proportions. No prompt for tip when you pay. What more could you ask for? Awesome little shop. Feels like Jersey inside.

I am a regular at the deli. They have made great sandwiches for years. I first found this place at their old location off of Jermantown road and continued to eat here since they moved to their current location. The secret is they have good fresh bread and other good quality ingredients. Always a good experience.

The Deli is as quality, super straightforward, no nonsense Italian sandwich shop. With tons of fresh Italian means and cheeses, sliced fresh to order, these subs are fantastic.. My family has frequented the Deli for years even at their previous location and have never been disappointed. Definitely worth a visit.

I've been going to The Deli for years now, started going to the one in Herndon on Elden Street and it was constantly busy for lunch. I moved out of Herndon and really missed having a good nearby deli/sandwich place when I happened to stumble upon their Fairfax location by chance! Seeing that this location was close by, I feel like this has become an easy go-to for those weekend urges of treating myself to a nice sandwich. Food: The Deli offers several variations of Italian sandwiches wtih different cured meats and cheeses. I normally get the works with lettuce, tomato, chili peppers, and oil for all the sandwiches I order (It just feels and tastes right). The sandwiches are decently proportioned, they offer an 8 inch and a 12 inch, for most of them, and trust me when I say that a 12 inch sandwich is good enough for a meal and a half. They also offer hot sandwiches and deli meats by the pound but I have yet to partake in those. If you're a pickle lover, you'll be happy to know that their cold Italian sandwiches tend to come with a pickle to give an acidic contrast! I highly recommend stopping by and getting a sandwich if you're in the area! From discussions with the manager, they appear to be a local family-owned business with a couple of locations but I've only been in the Fairfax and Herndon ones. I can't give a full review on Service and Atmosphere as I normally just do carry-out for sandwiches but the owner is very friendly and it appears that they have been updating the restaurant. Aside from being a restaurant, The Deli also offers a selection of jarred goods, wine/beverages, and various snacks for sale. TLDR: Great Italian sandwiches offered by a family-owned business that I've enjoyed for several years.
