The Crown Hotel

Unfortunately we booked a room for a wedding and was very disappointed! The bathroom was dirty, the shower/bath didn’t work seen as the tap was broken. The plug was broken in the sink so couldn’t use the sink without it overflowing. The staff weren’t very helpful throughout the day and night, I don’t think they were happy to work on a weekend The security is good and the guys were lovely! It’s a shame because the place is stunning, and the food was good.

Went to a wedding here on the 13th of April it was absolutely amazing staff fabulous food was delicious.

Brilliant lunch at The Crown Hotel today. Both the steak pie and sea bass was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend.

Can't comment on all of the above as I was only visiting briefly. The venue looked lovely, and staff seemed amiable. Parking somewhat restricted.

6 of us went for a meal for my daughters 21st birthday. The bar and restaurant is lovely, we got seated at a nice table then after 15 minutes we had to stop someone to ask them to take a drinks order. Then no-one came to take our food order so again had to ask. The food came and I have to say it was very good. Again we later had to ask for more drinks which were brought and all the empty glasses were just left on the table! They then asked if we would like a dessert and brought the menu but didn't come back to take the order again!!! When I asked a passing waitress she very abruptly said yes I'll be back in a minute!! The restaurant was about a quarter full so no reason for the poor service. There was one girl who was pleasant and professional but the rest obviously didn't want to be there and were just rude. Not quite the experience I would have expected from a supposed higher class hotel. Shame because the food was excellent.

Went to wedding venue, beautiful place. Brilliant bar staff. Now for Bad bits. Not enough food served. Nobody asked if anyone had allergies regarding food that was served. When asked what was in the food. Nobody was sure, or if cross contamination. Toilets was OK but seats wonky.

Had cocktails. Very good
