The Crack Shack - Costa Mesa

Very good food, pretty expensive, but low-key worth it if you feel like a good meal, the firebird sandwich was quite good, and was very filling, especially with fries. They do serve alcohol here, I don't drink so I can't comment on it.

Not all it's "cracked" up to be. The chicken/coleslaw sandwich was okay. I expected way more of an addicting flavor considering its the "crack" shack. The self service drink and sauce area are not very user friendly either, with no trash bin for your straw or sugar packets (i got ice tea). I was carrying my keys, my wallet, my phone. I then had to fill my own sauces, carry a drink, and carry around my table number stand. My hands were already too full to juggling my own stuff to get my own sauces and drink. I just wish they would have handed me a tray or something? Then when I was pumping the barbecue sauce it overflowed, And I got sauce on my hand and there were no napkins near the sauce-filling station, So I had to walk over to the tables where the napkins are kept with a saucey hand, all my stuff, a drink and a number stand. But despite the functionality , my chicken sandwich wasn't even that great.

Ordered to go. Waited inside. They NEVER brought us our food. Wasted our time. Staff was idiotic.

There is no window for pickup. You kinda just have to cut in front of everyone in line while 30 kids are screaming and running around the restaurant (went on a Friday night which was my fault apparntly.) It is very uncomfortable to pick up an order for an introvert such as myself. The food was delicious, though, and will order again under different circumstances. Also, don't forget to order the fries they're unique and unexpected in flavor.
