The Clever Cupcakes

I ordered some cupcakes to go for a special occasion and a staff member named Jessica was very accommodating and went above and beyond to make the cupcakes look presentable and pretty! I highly recommend this place if you have any pre-order requests!

Beautiful and delicious cupcakes!! Ordered cupcakes for a birthday and they were able to make the exact design I wanted (a take on the game Catan), and they worked with me to ensure the design, colors, and corresponding flavors were as requested. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The cupcakes were SO delicious - the cake and icing were light and fluffy with the right amount of sweetness. Even though we bought a lot more cupcakes than guests, they were finished very quickly! The biggest bonus is that they are completely nut-free, and it is difficult to find a place that is truly truly nut free. Thank you Clever Cupcakes for coming through for us!!

Ordered 30 cupcakes online for an event and got a call 10 days before my event asking if I was coming to pickup my cupcake order. I explained that the cupcakes weren’t ordered for that day and that I have the invoice evidencing such. The staff member called their manager to confirm and it turned out someone had written the date down incorrectly. The staff member I spoke with on the phone was lovely, but something told me to follow up closer to my event to confirm my order. I sent two follow-up emails that went unanswered and left a voicemail that was not returned. I stayed persistent on calling and finally got through to a staff member who confirmed that they had my order written down incorrectly. Instead of the 2 dozen mini regular batter cupcakes I requested, they only had 1 dozen noted. In addition, I had ordered 6 mini gluten free batter cupcakes and they had them also noted as sugar free and dairy free. Had I not confirmed, I would have been missing half my order. They need to be more detail oriented when writing down online orders. To have 3 errors for one fairly small order is not acceptable. Overall, cupcakes were okay taste-wise. They used to be way more flavourful. That said, I’m not impressed and will not be ordering through them again. Do not recommend anyone place online orders.

Booked daughter’s birthday party here. They overbooked. We had to postpone the party. Really bad experience.

Last week, I ordered a birthday cake, and I must express my disappointment. The cake was the worst I've ever had—soggy, unfresh, and the taste was simply awful. Strangely, I had a fantastic experience ordering from the Metrotown branch last year; the cake was amazing. Regrettably, this year's birthday cake fell far short of expectations. Hoping for improvement in consistency and quality.

We are so grateful to find a bakery that offers peanut free options! We ordered a small cake so that we could do something special at home to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. The cake was exactly what we were looking for and they were so kind and helpful through the whole ordering process. Looking forward to ordering from here again!

I had ordered special mini cupcakes for my little one's bday - as my kid is allergic to certain ingredients. I had placed order for 4 flavours - but the order came out with just vanilla flavour and others were ignored. Also the cupcakes that were received were not conduicive as it contained the allergens that my kid cannot consume. Very bad experience. one star for the sales person who offered a couple free special cupcakes for messing up the almost 2 dozen ones I had ordered.! Very dissappointed.
