This place is so fun - great vibe and energy and the staff makes this such a great experience! The food is flavor PACKED and the potatoes are delish! Your silverware is tucked away in the table side drawer and you will enjoy your visit! We had a short wait to get seated (no Ressie in advance), but well worth it!! Yum! Great meal, great vibe

Horrible. We went there for Valentines Day. 3 people(we brought our son) and the portions were sooo small. We spent 500 bucks and left hungry. We got 4 shrimp, so two of us got one and one person two. Or we each got 1 1/3 pieces. Same with the chicken croquette. There was a tiny cup of chicken stock to drink ?? And the steak the main course was fillet mignon and pureed potatoes. The meat was about 3 oz at most and about 2 Tbl spoons of potatoes. Rediculous. I live in Napa and go out all the time and never have I felt ripped off before until that night. The service was great though. Sorry for the small tip but I just couldn’t pile on another 100 bucks for that tiny meal. We won’t be back nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Delicious dinner with excellent service in a beautiful atmosphere. Fresh ingredients and dishes all well prepared.

I ordered dry age steak. For $140, the meat was very tough and not tender at all. Very disappointed and I wanted to return it but was caught in the moment with the occasion. Everything else was great.

Good fun place to eat dinner

Service was very attentive but you felt more like you were being sold to repeatedly rather than looked after. It's not that the food was bad (the miso caesar salad was quite good) but it is a very limited menu and dishes are ala carte. This would be fine if the sides were thought out to pair with the entrees but it was not easy to piece together a cohesive meal.

I've fallen in love with Charter Oak, and after several visits, I feel compelled to share my review to affirm it's truly a destination worth visiting. Charter Oak shines, particularly for large gatherings of more than six people. The reservation process is impressively smooth, effortlessly accommodating my party with exceptional seating and graciously extending our stay by an uninterrupted fifteen minutes beyond our reservation time. The service is outstanding, matched by delightfully delicious dishes that never fail to impress. Having visited The Charter Oak on multiple occasions, I've noticed the menu evolves, maintaining a balance between beloved staples and new introductions, yet the quality, taste, and presentation consistently remain exceptional. The wine selection is remarkable, and the cocktails are equally impressive. A simple pleasure such as their fresh sourdough bread is enough to keep me coming back. I highly recommend this place, especially if you find yourself in the far reaches of Napa Valley, in the St. Helena area. It's a must-visit for an unforgettable dining experience. Kid-friendliness: I brought my 6 weeks old infant and everyone was very nice and very accommodating.
