The Bohemian: A Wine Bar was an experience within itself. The lightly decorated establishment had works of art displayed for sale, mixed matched furniture, a outside seating area with shelter so you're able to enjoy the fresh air and people watch but not be crucified by the sun. The staff spoke to us immediately as soon as we walked through the door. She was pleasant and polite. Served us quickly. There were several selections of wine for purchase on the wall, but not so many on the menu provided to us. There are some meats/cheese and flatbreads that can be purchased here. Pricing wise, this establishment is a little cheaper than most places when buying a glass. The wine was served warm but wasn't too bad at all if you knew your wines. Personally, The Bohemian wasn't all my favorite out of all the wine bars within Charlotte. I can't discredit them because of my opinion. However, you can't pass it up for location convenience and the affordable for a glass of wine or two.
Delicious charcuterie and Flatbread! Wonderful selection of wines too!
We're just drinking this afternoon as I welcome some out of town friends to Charlotte. We landed at the Bohemian and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine while sitting on the very comfy sofa and chatting for about two hours. Great service and the young lady who was pouring was knowledgeable and helpful with what's available. We had already enjoyed a late brunch so we skipped over the charcuterie plates and looking back, I wish I had not said no. The photos look amazing! Parking: Street parking nearby. Don't block the driveways!
We held a casual, pre-wedding gathering at the Bohemian. While they can do private events with set menus etc., we were throwing this together a bit last minute and wanted something cash bar. Jerry was super helpful in making the event a reality—they let us know our guests (about 45 folks) could congregate in the beautiful indoor patio space, and that cash bar was a-okay. Jerry even checked in a few days before the event to make sure we were all set. The event itself was fantastic—our guests loved the space, service, food, and drink at the Bohemian and it started our wedding weekend off on an amazing note! A super hard working team and absolutely a place where you should hold your next event–they are ready to work with you! :)
What a lovely find! Flatbreads are amazing with obviously homemade crust! I’ll certainly be back!
Had our first experience there last night when we bought tickets to the champagne tasting. We got five generous glasses of champagne that was delicious, unique and previously unknown to us. We also thoroughly enjoyed the special cheese/snack board available for the tasting. The vibe was great and inviting, not surprising from the folks behind Hop Shop. The crowd was really nice and we made a new friend of the woman sitting next to us. We look forward to coming back!
With glasses of wine, we ordered havarti cheese and prosciutto plates. It was the worst prosciutto we had, barely edible (in addition to being a very small serving). Also wines are over priced ($15 retail is $14/glass, $40/bottle where it should be about 2-2.2 times the retail). Nice atmosphere, music is good (soft jazz) and not loud. Many other better places to go so we won't go there again.
