Opens for food at 12 noon. Staff friendly and helpful. Steady stream of people with children arrived to sit outside by the river. Large marquee outside on the decking beside the river presumably for inclement weather. Food nice. Portions not large. Prices a bit expensive for portion size. Parking poor. Not disabled friendly as lots of stairs down to decking beside the river plus at the entrance there are steps down in to restaurant. There is a disabled access door but when I tried to enter the restaurant this way as I'm on crutches, the door was locked. Vegetarian options: Just a few choices Parking: There are about 6 parking spaces available, but staff seem to use most of those. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids outside on the decking seating area beside the river, with their parents
Love visiting this place, ❤️
Lovely beer by the river. Good selection of ales. Beer and water the perfect combination!
Had a great steak meal on a Saturday evening. Attentive and well organised staff, in a delightful venue. It was excellent value for money as we had a sharing platter, which on Saturday included a bottle of decent red wine. All in all a splendid evening, and great way to conclude our stay in Shrewsbury.
Great food at reasonable prices, excellent service and a good selection of drinks!
The Boathouse is more of a food pub than a traditional community pub. There is a good choice of beers, including three hand pulled cask conditioned real ales, which were in excellent condition when I visited. I didn't have anything to eat, but the food coming out of the kitchen looked very tempting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are lovely views over the river seven from the pub and a nice outside seating area. Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the menu Parking: Free on street parking. Kid-friendliness: Child friendly Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance easy access for wheelchairs
Lovely and relaxing looking over the river to the park. I can not imagine how busy this is during the Summer.
