booked in for Sunday dinner ,, there was only Sunday dinner available for kids though no other options available but they were a good portion and quite nice they had the chicken supreme ,the adults menu was a good choice we had the pork but when it came it was 2 small wafer thin slices of fat it was terrible and really disappointing to be honest it ruined the dinner the price was good but the food was not when you work hard for ya money you don’t like wasting it ,,, I told one of the girls about the quality of the meat ,as know one asked if everything was ok and got a reply of I’ll let them know ,,, still got charged full amount even though most of the food had not been touched ,, won’t go back ☹️
Food fabulous had a fillet steak was amazing
Absolute gem of a place. The food is amazing, the staff are all friendly and very helpful we had a lovely meal and following that a few weeks later we had a wake for my late Father in the Bear room. Plenty of food in the buffet, everyone was really empathetic with just the right amount of attentiveness, as it was a difficult day for us. Thank you Noteworthy details: Set in a beautiful location overlooking countryside, the pub itself is cosy and welcoming
Food & drinks: The new owners have really done an amazing job with the Bear! The rooms have been revamped and new Carpets. The beds are very comfortable. The views are amazing from the windows. The rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities needed. The food was excellent . Prices were reasonable and service was excellent. I would highly recommend anyone going to the bear to stay or to have a meal .
Lovely Sunday Lunch and great service!
Wonderful Sunday lunch. Top tasty food and good value for money
What fabulous Easter weekend we had staying at the bear Inn, from the moment we arrived, Wendy & her staff catered for everything we needed, we took our dog Ralph, to say he was spoilt & well looked after was an understatement, if you are looking for a weekend away in derbyshire, with your pet dog this is the place, lots of walks & very close to the popular little tourist towns, Bakewell just 20 mins away, the bear inn is a great base to stay, also a fantastic menu, the Breakfast has got to be the best Breakfast I've had, thanks again to the lovely Wendy, her son Chris & their staff, see you again love Paul, Sue & Ralph (the little frenchie)
