The Backyard Public House

So I gave this place two try’s and unfortunately both times, there food left me sick and the second time had me vomiting an hour later. Also ordering food over the phone is no good, because either the phone is answered with no voice on the other side or “she” is just plain out rude, she had no manners, and then she just hung the phone up with out clarifying my order. So if you ask me it’s a place for snobs, not the neighborhood.

A group of friends and I went to lunch at The Backyard today to try something new and we were very disappointed with our service. Our server seemed more interested in the cook(which I am assuming because he kept coming out of the back) and her phone than us. We had to ask for her waters a couple times, and she never came back to check in on us. I understand if the place was slammed and she was too busy to get to us, however there were 7 of us at the restaurant in total. The other group of three had to go up to the bar multiple times reorder drinks and they searched for the bartender a few times as well and she was no where to be found The food was great, the service was just absolutely terrible. We thought this was going to be our new lunch spot, however after today we won’t be going back.

**UPDATE** This place is incredible. I love the staff. We always get great service. When we have a big group, we always hit up the backyard. I love that we can be outside, and go in to order or they round more frequently. There is a reason we pick this place for 20+ people. My husband loves this place so much he snowblowed a path from our house to the bar . On top of it, whiloe pregnant they had INCREDIBLE mocktails! They also alter the food to my cravings and never seemed annoyed in doing so. I also love that the music is always different genres when I go in♡ My husband and I love the friendly staff! They have always been kind and service is quick. The food is delicious, and the beer is good. What more can you ask for?

Great food. Nice 21+ spot to hangout

They are NOT open until 11. They should publicly list their hours as 1130am until “close.” We arrived two hours before closing, at 9pm, and were told that the kitchen was closed. I asked if we could get a beer, and was told “we had a big rush earlier” which is not an answer. The server was incoherent and focused on cleaning, even though there were five other customers in the bar, so we gave up and left. We live in the neighborhood and have visited many times, but never again.
