Best food my wife and I had on our trip to Destin… I would absolutely come back… Barbara was amazing

Nice place to enjoy a meal while looking out on the beautiful Emerald Coast. You have the option to sit inside or out, still with a view. Their menu offers a variety of options, from burgers to seafood. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is fresh and delicious.

If you want to eat really great seafood plate and enjoy the wind and smell of the sea, this is the spot. O'Brian our server was on point not only with our table but with all the tables he was serving. Just watching how he interacted and glided thru the floor was awesome to watch. Now as someone that likes good food like myself, where do I start. My wife had the red snapper with double baked potatoes and corn medley. Snapper on point, baked potatoes could have been better but still good. I had the fisherman platter, to be honest ì don't know where to start with this platter. This platter consisted of Yellow fin tuna, Amberjack & Grouper grilled, corn medley and another side, OMG!! The flavor of all 3 was to die for. And the prices are unbelievably reasonable. If you are ever in Destin Fl, this is a place you must visit!! Thank you to all for your great service and food!!!!! Until next time!

Great food, awesome view, and fast friendly service

We just returned from Destin and it is mid March and the weather was not warm. Mild during the day and chilly at night. We were seated on the back porch and there was a beautiful view, but there was also a wicked wind. We ate our dinner with chattering teeth because there were no heaters as there had been in restaurants we had eaten in previously in the week I had the shrimp and scallops, the scallops were delicious the shrimp was kind of bland, and I had to ask for melted butter to dip them in, I didn’t care for the corn chowder, but that’s a personal preference, but the baked potato was horrible. Not just mine, but others in our party. The potato looked like it had been sitting for quite a long time, and there was no flavor to it. Maybe if I had ordered a different side, I would have enjoyed the meal more. Between the price, the cold, and the bland food it was not a good experience. FYI, I had on a T-shirt and a sweatshirt and was still cold. People were going to their car and getting jackets and sweatshirts to put on that were around us. If you’re going to eat at the back porch and it’s chilly outside, you need to take a coat.

The host told the girl where to seat us but only to find out someone else was seated there, so we walked back to the front for another seating place. We were finally seated. We sat there awhile before someone offered us drinks. I had questions about some of the options but our waiter was short. Food was ok, nt great! The veggies were . My fish was very chewy. I never had Mahi Mahi chewy. If I'm going to pay $30 plus for a dinner, that food better be plate licking worthy!

The Back Porch has been a Destin staple for me and is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. Friendly service with the best views and unbeatable seafood. I recommend the blackened mahi mahi with mashed potatoes and the lemon dill rice. Definitely worth the wait! Kid-friendliness: They have kids meals served on branded frisbees you can play with when you’re done eating on the beach!

Definitely good place yo eat! Food was definitely fresh and hot! A little on the high price side but, so well worth it. Their food is amazing and give you well enough food for what you spend! Absolutely loved it!
