Great Traditional pub with excellent range of ales etc

The perfect pub, from the lovely old building, to the beautifully-preserved old-fashioned interior, to the friendly welcome, to the old-school snacks and food to the deliciously well-kept range of ales.

Fantastic beer and brilliant cobs

Popped in for a swifty whilst waiting for a cab on a rainy night. Friendly landlady, I will be sure to spend more time there on my next trip to Derby. Food & drinks: Brilliant selection of well-kept real ales.

Close to Derby station and full of railwayana. Choice of 2 bars and plenty of cask and keg beers to drink.

Great beer selection, reasonably priced. Friendly service and clientele. If you like good beer and traditional pubs, there's nothing not to like. If you have an interest in trains it's definitely for you!

Right by the railway station and good parking nearby. A great selection of ales and a great friendly feel to the place. It's one of my favourite pubs in Derby. My recent visit was top-notch, having not got there in 8 years.
