Varietals: Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio and Nocera.
Vineyard: 250 to 300 m above sea level; oldest vines are 80 years old and planted in Alberello style, the younger are 10 years old, trained in espalier system; soil is a medium mixture characterized by layers of clay and tuff calcrete. No addition of chemical additives on the grapes.
Vinification/Ageing: maceration on the skins 12-18 hours, with fermentation in steel and 6 months ageing in steel and cement.
Alcohol: 12.5%
Description: Medium garnet with aromas of pomegranate, blood orange and damp forest floor. A palate balanced by dried herb flavours, this thirst-quenching rosato drinks like a red, with beautiful texture and depth. About 5000 bottles made.
