92 Points Wine Enthusiast. Sherri & Leonard Mello are proud to present our first wine representing a true expression of Pinot Noir. This is a very limited production of one barrel, representing only 300 bottles. 100% Pinot Noir, the Lindsay's Vineyard Pinot Noir is an elegant, sophisticated wine. Mouthwatering aromas of fresh raspberries, cherries and baking spices are matched with flavors of berry cobbler, vanilla and toffee. The palate is medium bodied with vibrant acidity, polished tannins and a touch of minerality.

Deep garnet color. Blackberry and dark cherry with hints of peppercorn, fresh tobacco leaf, dark chocolate, and musk. Rich, full, and textured. Cassis and dark berry with a hint of anise. Dried herbs add to the complexity as the finish lingers with firm, yet finely knit, tannins.

The Spottswoode Lyndenhurst takes no back seat to its similarly priced Napa Valley Cabernet neighbors. This wine shows plenty of power, richness, and depth. This wine is approachable now, though it will continue to hold and grow for at least a half a dozen years. This wine boasts black fruits, some berries, with a hint of wood in the background. On the palate, it is chewy-smooth with a pleasing finish.

90 Points Wine Spectator. This wine exhibits classic Marlborough characters of tropical fruit with hints of herbaceousness and flint. Crisp and refreshing, with lively acidity complementing flavors of lemongrass and tropical fruit.
