Way overpriced for what it is. The rotisserie chicken was good, but the duck special with beet gnocchi was just...odd. It's like someone tried to be too creative. The gnocchi was like a dough, and not like it is supposed to be. Service was ok, but the girl kept telling us what HER favorites were...she wasn't being taken out for dinner! I don't mind paying for quality, but this wasn't worth the price.
Beautiful dining room with great views. Our server was outstanding and the drinks were unique and very good. We had the Valentine’s dinner for 2- the chateaubriand was tender and flavorful- the port wine Demi glaze was SO good. The lobster tails were better than most around here. I got the asparagus without hollandaise which was perfectly grilled and delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes were very good- SUPER large portion. My husband got the potato au gratin which he said were delicious and the carrots which he said were fine. We got crème brûlée which had a perfectly crispy crust on top and my husband had the carrot cake which was good but not great. Overall a great experience and worth the price we paid. For our dinner (which included the fondue appetizer & dessert) plus 3 drinks our bill was $220 Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator to the 5th floor and open area which is great for wheelchair accessibility
Worst experience I’ve ever had. Service inside was great but once paid the bald head guy who wanted to be a tuff guy saying didn’t pay is a joke and ruined the whole experience. We did pay FYI
The history of your business having a lack of decorum stands true. I should have taken the reviews I have heard and read about at face value. Then, taken myself elsewhere. Save your money and that outfit for literally anywhere else. Also, the bald guy gets two thumbs down. So does your bathroom being an entire zip code away.
Bald guy they have is rude and a joke.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Taverne in the Sky and I must say, it exceeded all of my expectations. This fun and upscale establishment is the perfect spot for anyone looking for great drinks and good conversation. First of all, the atmosphere of Taverne in the Sky is absolutely stunning. The decor is modern and chic, making you feel like you've stepped into a fancy cocktail lounge. The dim lighting and cozy seating arrangements create the perfect ambiance for a night out with friends or a date. But what truly sets Taverne in the Sky apart is their realmixology. The bartenders are true experts in their craft, creating unique and delicious cocktails that will leave your taste buds wanting more. I highly recommend trying their signature drinks, as they are truly one of a kind. Aside from the amazing drinks, the service at Taverne in the Sky is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They are more than happy to make recommendations and cater to any special requests you may have. But what really stood out to me was the fact that Taverne in the Sky is a great place to have a good conversation. Unlike other bars or clubs, the music here is not too loud, allowing you to actually hear and talk to the people you're with. This is a rare find in the city and definitely adds to the overall experience. Overall, I cannot recommend Taverne in the Sky enough. It truly deserves a 5-star rating for its amazing drinks, fantastic atmosphere, and great service. So if you're looking for a fun and upscale place to enjoy some realmixology and have a good conversation, Taverne in the Sky is definitely the place to be. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
The experience here was up and down like a roller coaster ride. The manager was not attentive when we arrived, the whole time we were there she seemed bothered. Our waiter was pretty good though, very helpful. We started with an expresso martini which was very tasty. The bread service came with curry butter. The butter was only partially whipped, the top was soft but the bottom was hard. Bread was delicious which got our hopes up again. Then when the appetizers came (devil egg caviar and steak tartare) we were disappointed. Took a bite of the devil eggs and it’s pretty bland, I would rather buy it at Piggly Wiggly. The egg on the tarts was supposed to be a quail egg as listed on the menu but it wasn’t. The crostini was too thick made it too hard to eat. We spoke to the manager and we could tell she was not pleased to receive the feedback, and it was just very awkward. For entrée we had lemon ricotta ravioli and lamb bolognese and they were delicious! Yes, after the disappointing appetizers these were so flavorful and tasty. This was an interesting mixed experience. Personally I would not go back but I probably would still recommend to try their lemon ricotta ravioli if you want to enjoy a romantic night out since the view was nice, and the decor was somewhat romantic.
Stopped out for a friends birthday. Group of 15 of us I believe. We were sat , accommodated with drinks, appetizers and our meal. Everything was great! Our server was on top of it. However, the party was never notified that with tables of so many people in the party they just throw everything on one tab and check out. This was confirmed by management that it’s so they can guarantee a 25% gratuity. My friends and I all work in the service industry and 100% understand wanting to have you compensated for your hard work. We honestly probably would have tipped more than 25% it was great. However when we asked if we could please pay our own tabs we were immediately met with a look of inconvenience. The server made a point to say they don’t do that but she’d ask management. Management came out spoke with us, we reassured her that we would tip generously, again we get this industry working in it ourselves. She split the checks but then the server Steph made the inappropriate gesture to bring a sticky note to our table and placed it down with the total gratuity would have been if the tab was a whole. Making it so we knew what we needed to tip. On top of that when she brought each of us our cards back with the receipts , each receipt was labeled with her handwritten tip amount on them. Once again ensuring we knew what to tip her. So we obliged and tipped her the amount she suggested to us… but all this to say she could have gotten quite a bit more if she wouldn’t have made us out to feel a bother or to subject us to their gratuity standard suggesting we maybe would have skimped her . The food was amazing, but customer service really makes me hesitant to go back.
