Don Pancho had a vision to create a fast casual Mexican restaurant that would provide true Mexican flavor. This is how the Palenque chain was born. Originally from Sinaloa, Mexico and now a U.S. citizen, Don Pancho originally founded El Pollo Loco© which was a success that led him to open his first Taco Palenque® back in 1987 in Laredo, Texas. Taco Palenque® is mainly known for its authentic Mexican tacos. It has become the ultimate place to spend time with family and friends while enjoying a meal. In fact, positive word of mouth has had a major impact on our satisfied customers. There are several Taco Palenque® locations operating throughout the south region of Texas and are continuing to grow.
