Taco Local

Dude. This was a last minute decision to try this restaurant out with my girlfriend and we were totally blown away. The mango braised pork taco was the best taco I’ve ever had. I’m still thinking about it. We emptied the dark salsa roja on everything we ate, it was so good. The proportions were perfect, the chips and salsa flight was a dealll. The drinks bomb, the service was so nice, the atmosphere was soo cool and intimate. The music they had on was a vibe and you could tell everything was made with intention and love. I swear down to the rice and beans and side salad it was seasoned so good and everything tasted so fresh. I’m so glad we came here, we will definitely come again and I hope everyone checks them out.

Not open, despite posted hours.

Great margarita. Tacos were pretty good. The vibe was odd. Lights down on a Tuesday night with loud electronic music. I'm not sure why here and Bandit insist on dance music at a sit-down restaurant

Such an amazing gem!! The atmosphere was super chill. The owner was extremely kind, all our food was amazing. The margs were hand crafted super fresh. I had the mango braised tacos AMAZING. Came from Dubuque and would come back just for this food.

Friendly staff. Cozy. Steak quesadilla and tacos incredible. Margs tasty too.

Too bad it was closed for renovation

The food is nothing special - all pretty bland really. The most notable thing about this place is how horrible (read:non existent) the ventilation is and how awful you will smell after leaving. Be prepared to fully disrobe, wash your clothes, shower and wash your hair because you will stink.

Atmosphere is great. In our group, 2 ordered vegetarian and 2 didn't. The vegetarian tacos were under seasoned and just kinda bland. The others were uncomfortably spicy. I suspect the chef doesn't voluntarily eat the vegetarian options frequently.

Taco Local prides itself in fine Mexican cuisine. Great tacos, fun atmosphere, and fast service. The al pastor tacos were extremely flavorful and the serving was very generous. Carnitas were super tender and the trio of dips were delicious. Prices are quite higher than standard taco joints, but the food is authentic and comes out right away, hot and fresh. Will return to try the tequila lime chicken, Korean bbq and a few margaritas.
