El cocido bien! Sin más. Demasiado caro me pareció para lo q es.

Gran cocido madrileño, en una de las tascas más típicas de Madrid. Hay que reservar (tienen 2 turnos). Ambiente un poco ruidosos, pero es lo normal en este tipo de locales.

They have some rules about who can sit and who can’t sit at the table depending on what you order (ok, I understand!). I wanted to share a cocido with my mom and get some tapas to go with it, but they told me, as if I had missed the memo, that we would each have to order a cocido and that no sharing was allowed. When I told them that I did want something other than cocido and not cocido for two, they told me that I needed to get a full dish and listed (very quickly) the 9 options I had. I was confused because there were way more options on the full dish menu, so I had to ask them to repeat the “instructions”. They said that those 9 were the only ones they still had (a weekday at 2pm; we were the second table to be seated). I chose the secreto even though I really wanted 3 different tapas. The secreto felt like the plato combinado I can have anywhere in Spain for 14Euros (but this one was 20Euros, it was NOT tender and it didn’t even include a fried egg). My mom LOVED her cocido, but the portion is stupidly huge. What are they going to do with the leftovers (waste or repurpose)? I would have loved to share that cocido with my mom and get a couple very good looking tapas, but their “rules” ruined the whole experience. Next time (there might be one), I will sit at the bar and get just tapas.

Buena comida y buen servicio

Sitio típico para comer un cocido madrileño!!! La comida está buena y las raciones son abundantes. Si es cierto que para lo que es en so la comida, que no deja de ser un cocido madrileño, me parece algo caro.

Fuimos a comer cocido 6 personas. Estaba bueno. El precio parecido a todos los restaurantes que sirven cocido. Encuentro que hagan dos turnos para aprovechar ya que el local no es muy grande. El problema que le veo es que casi no hay espacio e íbamos con un carro de bebé, que ya lo habíamos avisado. Esto si que hay que tenerlo en cuenta.
