The food here is absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend the Samosas and the Beef Stew Nyama Mchuzi. Our Server Angie was great! She took our orders and recommended the best plates on the menu. She was very proactive and checked on us often. I will definitely be coming back here next time I’m in DC!

Swahili village has always been great with service and constant delicious foods. This is my favorite African restaurant with authentic Kenyan food. Service is always great, and food always comes out quickly .

Delicious food but not like the most amazing food so that’s why 4/5. Curry chicken was ok, not a lot proportion wise. Fish was crispy but dry not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be? Prefer some moisture to fried things. The spices were so flavorful and unique though and chicken wings were delicious. Overall a great restaurant

The jollof rice is so yummy!! I got the lentils last time and they are delicious. The red beans are basically the same flavor just really depends which protein texture you like better but they are super similar to me. I got the red snapper the first time and it was really yummy. The plantains are the sweet kind but drier than fogo de chao so I didn’t really like them. I like plantains that are the tostones kind but still this place is super yummy definitely give it a try!

I was so disappointed 😞. The food had no flavor. The chicken was burnt and unseasoned. Chapati was dry. 2 samosas for $11.50 yet flavorless. I don't know who cooked but they should substitute them. Honestly the worst food I've had in a while.
