In 1987, our predecessor, Canton House, was established as one of Dothan’s very first Chinese restaurants. Johnson, the youngest son of the Canton House family, worked at Canton House with his parents and siblings for 8 years. He began as a dishwasher and worked hard to become a chef. Then around April 1, 1999, he opened up his own restaurant: Super Canton. Unlike the restaurant style of Canton House, we focus more on take-out, but still offer dine in. We use high quality ingredients and cook each order fresh while utilizing original recipes from Canton House. Over time, we have seen older Chinese restaurants shut down and newer Chinese restaurants open. Now, we hold the title of Dothan’s oldest restaurant.
