Steep also has a social mission: it is a youth-run and led boba shop focused on management and leadership training for youth from underserved communities. It is owned by Juma Ventures, a nonprofit social enterprise that, since 1993, has operated businesses with the purpose of employing youth and putting them on track to career success.
