Steak 'n Shake

Food and service terrible mold all over burger bun. Never again stay away!

DO NOT EAT HERE. EVER. Hello. I went to this establishment March 29 in the afternoon. I don’t get out much this way so I was excited to go to steak ‘n Shake. Since I was alone, I decided that I would go in and sit down and eat. Once I order my food, I proceeded to look for a table. Every table that was not occupied was dirty actually filthy. There were cups napkins debris on every table. The tables were also sticky with spilled liquid. Once I got my food, which was some kind of burger, fries, and onion rings. It was cold. I immediately asked for the manager. I young black girl said she was the manager. I asked for a refund she asked why and I said the food was cold. She went in the back and gave me a receipt saying that my food would be refunded to my card. It was not refunded to my card by April 11 and I called and spoke to Ken Rogers, who says he was the manager Owner. We had an in-depth conversation on what happened and I also text him a copy of the receipt that was given to me. I hadn’t heard from him. I called Friday, April 19. Spoke to Ken Rogers again he was very aggressive and rude. I asked for , the corporate number he said there is no corporate number that he is the franchise owner. I asked him who does he pay his franchise fees to he would not give me that information. He told me if I wanted my money back. I need to file fraud with my bank. This is absolutely not how you run a business. I will never go here again. And I suggested you find somewhere else to eat if you’re ever in the area.

Normally I love this place the girls are always so friendly and the food is great but today a different story I went in and ordered and was served by some gentleman who actually was cooking as well and that's the fry he gave me I paid 60 cents extra and there was not any fries in the bag or anything I even gave almost a $2 tip that'll be the last time totally unacceptable. It's a cashless kiosk so you got to give a tip sight unseen totally ridiculous asking for a tip on something like this and then I get screwed I won't be back

They are a shell of what they used to be. They no longer have wait staff and are disorganized. They do not advise customers how to use self service beverage. You need to enter a code.

The burgers are burnt to a crisp! Smh
