Starter Bakery

Starter Bakery is a fresh daily bakery based in Berkeley, California popularly known for its signature Kouign Amman and its full line of delicious products such as Croissants, savory and sweet scones, muffins and Danish, cookies and pies, pretzels, quiches and artisan breads. You can find Starter Bakery‬ pastries and breads at many popular cafes, restaurants, and specialty grocery stores in the Bay Area, as well as the Temescal, Grand Lake, Montclair, West Oakland, Castro Valley, San Ramon and Pleasanton farmers’ markets every weekend. We recently opened our first retail bakery cafe at 5804 College Ave in Oakland where we serve a select line up of pastries, coffee, sandwiches, and desserts.
